Since my early teens, I’ve helped my grandmother care for many little ones—family, friends, and neighbors—gaining experience with diaper changes, feedings, and playtime. I recently had the joy of babysitting a 2-year-old boy while his mom worked from home. My responsibilities included diaper changes, preparing simple meals, light housekeeping, and playtime. I became very close to him, watching him grow from crawling to walking independently after physical therapy—it was truly a special experience. We’d go outside on sunny days with his little car, play with his blue ball and blocks, and wind down together with his favorite shows before naps. I also accompanied his mom on several doctor’s visits, helping out wherever I could. I’ve also cared for a 1-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy. We’d often take walks to the nearby park where the older boy loved playing hide-and-seek. I bottle-fed the baby girl, rocked her to sleep, and made sure both children felt safe and cared for while her mom did her long nurse shifts. In addition to babysitting, I help my mom raise my energetic 1.5-year-old baby brother. He’s always on the move, loves to climb, dance to music, and pull me by the hand to play with his cars. Taking care of him has taught me patience, attentiveness, and how to manage the unexpected—which, with toddlers, happens often! I genuinely love being around children and form strong bonds with every child I care for. I’m confident in my ability to keep your little ones safe, entertained, and nurtured. I'm a career nanny with over 15 years of nanny experience. I am also a newborn care specialist, birth doula, and postpartum doula. Though I am a US citizen, I was born and raised in Indonesia and speak fluent Indonesian as well as English. I am fully vaccinated, have a reliable car, clean driving record, and am CPR/First Aid/AED Certified for infants, children, and adults. I enjoy caring for children of all ages, but the bulk of my experience has been in the newborn to 5 year old range. I love getting children outdoors, helping facilitate art projects, listening to music, having dance parties, and also reading with children. I also love board games, having tea parties, and going on neighborhood adventures or outings to the zoo or aquarium. I currently work as a full-time nanny and am unavailable for full-time care, but I am available most weekday mornings before 9am as well as most weeknights after 5:30pm. I am also often available on weekends. ***I do not provide care for sick children, as I do not want to run the risk of my regular nanny family getting sick.*** I have a 4 hour or $120 minimum for bookings and am happy to be paid through Urbansitter, in cash, or through Venmo. I'm happy to do overnights and charge a flat rate of $175 for the hours between 10pm and 6am and my hourly rate for any additional hours. I'm a pretty calm and easygoing guy, and always make an effort to engage with the kids I watch. I’m a pretty active person and like to get the kids outside when I can; bike rides, lava monster and soccer are frequent activities.
