My experience includes driving to/from activities, organizing arts & crafts/fun learning experiences, tutoring/homework help, cooking meals, and keeping children engaged, safe, and happy. For 6 years I worked as a swim coach, coaching children ages 5 - 18 and introducing infants and toddlers (ages 1 - 4) to the pool. I have always enjoyed working with children. After finishing my degree in Psychology in 2021, I had the opportunity to travel to Brazil to work with the United Nations on one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (Quality Education) for 2 months, where I taught Spanish and organized educational activities for children. My experience in childcare has been truly vocational and inspiring for me. I cared for a boy for six months, from 1. 5 years old until he turned 2. Hello! My name is Frances and I am a creative and fun-loving person who has a lot of experience working with children of all ages in various capacities. I started my childcare journey by helping to raise my little sister who is ten years younger than me and I've continued to grow as a childcare professional through adulthood. I've worked as a camp counselor at the Woodland Park Zoo where I was responsible for many children at once, I've volunteered as a creative writing teacher at an elementary school, and one of my greatest accomplishments is becoming a Certified Behavior Technician and working six months implementing and running treatment plans and therapeutic intervention designed by ABA therapists for children with autism of various ages (ages three to sixteen). I cook and clean, I'm CPR/First Aid certified, I love pets, and I have a safe car and a clean driving record. I am a molecular biology student at UW and I currently work part time as a Phlebotomist with the hopes of attending medical school in the future.
