Seeking Occasional Childcare Assistance – New Haven, CT (06515 Area) - My Home I am looking to establish a relationship with a reliable and trustworthy caregiver for my son beginning around late August/September 2026. While I do not need assistance immediately, I would like to start connecting with potential caregivers now for future needs. About the Child: • Boy, age 5 (turning 6 in October) • Friendly, hyperactive and independent • May occasionally need assistance with homework and educational activities Responsibilities May Include: • School drop-off and pick-up to/from bus (rarely) • Transportation to and from extracurricular activities when scheduled (occasionally) • Occasional evening babysitting • Possible overnight care on rare occasions • Preparing simple meals and snacks • Supervising playtime and maintaining a safe environment • Assisting with homework and bedtime routines when needed Requirements: • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation • Comfortable around a small dog • English-speaking • Dependable, trustworthy, and punctual • Available on short notice when possible This is an as-needed position and not a full-time or regularly scheduled job. It may be a good fit for a responsible college student, recent high school graduate, stay-at-home parent, retiree, or someone simply looking to earn some extra money from time to time. Hours will vary based on need and may include afternoons, evenings, weekends, school breaks, transportation to activities, and occasional overnights.
