About this babysitting job

We’re looking for a reliable, caring, energetic, and flexible caregiver/family helper to be an extra set of hands for our busy family. We have an energetic 4-year-old and are welcoming a new baby. Our needs will vary from week to week, especially in the beginning. I’ll generally be home, and this role is intended to be an extra set of hands rather than independently caring for both children at the same time. Some days I may need help caring for or playing with our 4-year-old while I’m with the baby. Other times, I may need someone comfortable helping with the baby while I get things done, rest, or spend time with my older child. There may also be occasional school or activity pick-ups and drop-offs. I’m looking for someone who is happy to jump in wherever help is needed. That could mean childcare, laundry, washing or sanitizing bottles and baby items, tidying or cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, light household organization, walking the dog, or helping me tackle whatever needs to get done that day. The schedule will be flexible initially and may include a few hours at a time, half or full days, weekdays, and occasional weekends. As we settle into our new routine, there may be an opportunity for more consistent weekly hours. Ultimately, I’d love to find someone who can become a dependable right hand for our family (proactive, trustworthy, flexible, and comfortable switching between childcare and everyday household help). Requirements: * Experience with infants and preschool-age children * CPR and First Aid certified * Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious * Comfortable driving a child when needed * Strong references * Comfortable with a dog * Happy to help with light household tasks as needed
