About this babysitting job

Looking for a babysitter tomorrow (Tuesday, Sept. 8) from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM for our 23-month-old son in Springfield. Our regular daycare isn't available tomorrow, so we're looking for someone reliable and experienced with toddlers who can care for him in our home for the day. We're also hoping this can be more than just a one-time connection. We'd like to build a small roster of trusted sitters we can reach out to in the future when daycare is closed, our son is home sick, or we occasionally need childcare. There is absolutely no expectation that you'll always be available — we'd simply love to have a few people our son knows and we trust who we can contact when something comes up. For tomorrow, care would include playing with him, meals/snacks, diaper changes, his normal nap, and generally keeping him happy and occupied throughout the day. We also have two large, friendly dogs. You won't be responsible for caring for them beyond letting them into our fenced backyard once or twice during the day, but you do need to be comfortable around large dogs. Because we're hoping to find people we can call for future sick days as well, experience caring for mildly sick toddlers is a big plus. If medication is ever needed, we'll provide clear instructions. Pay is based on experience for the full 9-hour day. Easy parking, guaranteed hours, and everything our son needs will be provided.
