About this babysitting job

Looking for an occasional sitter for my 7-year-old son, Henry. Not a fixed weekly schedule, and I'm on shared custody so it's only on my weeks. I'd rather build a relationship with one or two people I can text than start over every time. Two kinds of coverage: After-school, occasional and sometimes short notice. Get him from the bus or from school and bring him back to our place, then hang out with him while I finish my workday. I work from home, so I'm in the house but heads-down in the office. Usually a couple of hours. Evenings and weekends, planned in advance. Date nights and work dinners. Dinner, downtime, and the bedtime routine, which is written out and simple. Henry is autistic. He's extremely chatty and friendly, loves space and science and rainbows, and is genuinely good company. He does better with a calm, low-pressure adult than with someone who pushes. Important: Henry has an anaphylactic egg allergy. No eggs in any form, label-reading on everything, and you need to be comfortable with an EpiPen. I'll walk you through it and show you where it is. He also has chronic constipation and can have occasional #2 accidents. It's routine here, supplies are on hand, and it needs a matter-of-fact adult, not a big reaction. We have two pets in the house. What I'm looking for: experience with autistic or neurodivergent kids, real comfort with food allergies, and someone who stays steady when a kid gets dysregulated. Formal special-needs training is a plus, not a requirement. Patience matters more. You should also be fine working with a parent in the house, since that's most of the after-school shifts. CPR certification and a clean background check preferred. Reliable transportation is important, both for pickups and because short-notice calls are half the point. Rate is $25 to $35/hr depending on experience. Happy to start with a paid meet-and-greet while I'm around so you and Henry can get to know each other before a solo evening. Tell me about your experience with kids like mine and with food allergies.
