**Ongoing Family Babysitter Needed – Altadena** We are looking for a warm, responsible and exceptionally reliable babysitter to build an ongoing relationship with our family and our three-year-old daughter. The schedule will be flexible and arranged in advance based on mutual availability. We expect to book someone at least once a week initially for daytime care or date nights, allowing our daughter and the sitter to become comfortable with one another. Once that relationship is established, we will also occasionally need early-morning assistance when a parent has a medical appointment or procedure. **Occasional early-morning shifts:** * Approximately 6:00–9:00 a.m. * Arrive promptly at 6:00 a.m. while our daughter is still sleeping * Help her wake up, get dressed and ready for preschool * Prepare or serve a simple breakfast * Make sure she has everything required for the school day * Follow the instructions and preparations left by us the night before * Drive her approximately five minutes to preschool in our family car, with her car seat already installed * Return our car home after drop-off **General babysitting may include:** * Playing with and actively engaging our daughter * Preparing or serving simple meals and snacks * Occasional bath and bedtime routines * Tidying her areas after activities and meals * Following our established routines and safety requirements **Requirements:** * Experience caring for preschool-aged children * At least two recent childcare references * Valid driver’s license and clean driving record * Comfortable driving our family vehicle * Willing to complete background and driving-record checks * CPR and first-aid certification strongly preferred * Reliable, punctual and communicative * Lives close enough to Altadena for an occasional 6:00 a.m. arrival to be consistently realistic * Comfortable following detailed instructions and maintaining household safety rules **Pay:** $28 per hour for regular babysitting and $30 per hour for early-morning shifts, with a three-hour minimum per booking.
