About this nanny job

We’re a family in the Inner Richmond with a curious, happy, and active 21-month-old son. We’re looking for a warm, reliable, and engaged nanny who genuinely enjoys spending their days with toddlers and wants to be an active part of helping a young child learn, explore, and grow. Our ideal nanny sees the day as more than just keeping a toddler safe and happy. We want someone who will get down on the floor and play, read lots of books, talk and sing with him, follow his interests, encourage his curiosity, and create a fun, enriching rhythm to the day. We value someone who is naturally proactive and comfortable taking the lead in planning activities and outings rather than waiting to be directed. We also love getting out of the house and making the most of everything San Francisco has to offer. A typical week might include: Parks and playgrounds Library story times Music or toddler classes Children’s museums and other kid-friendly outings Walks and daily outdoor adventures Plenty of books, play, and age-appropriate activities at home Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:45 AM–5:15 PM. We have some flex on exact times. Compensation & Benefits 45+ guaranteed hours per week 2 weeks of paid vacation per year; we ask that one week be coordinated with our family vacation Paid holidays Paid sick days We’re hoping to find someone who is: Experienced and confident caring for toddlers Warm, patient, playful, and genuinely engaged Proactive about planning activities and getting out of the house Attentive to a child’s needs, interests, and development Reliable, communicative, and safety-conscious Comfortable taking initiative and managing the day independently Excited about helping a young child learn through books, play, conversation, and everyday experiences Someone who takes pride in creating a fun, organized, and enriching day Has experience potty training Driving: We would love to find someone who is comfortable driving, particularly for outings and activities around the city, but having a driver's license/car is not a dealbreaker. We’re looking for someone who will really get to know our son and become a trusted part of our family.
