About this nanny job
Busy single mom is looking for a reliable, responsible and fun babysitter to provide after-school care for her 10-year-old daughter Monday through Friday. Care is needed from after school/late afternoon into the early evening, with some flexibility in the schedule. This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and wants a consistent, part-time position. Responsibilities include: • Picking up our daughter from school and driving her home (approximately 10–15 minutes) • Providing attentive supervision after school • Helping with light homework when needed • Engaging her in fun, age-appropriate activities such as: o Board games o Trips to the playground o Arts and crafts o Creative play o Watching movies together • The child is active, creative and fun-loving. She enjoys tennis, dancing, visual arts and performing arts, and she loves having someone who will engage with her and make after-school time fun. We encourage limited screen time with our child. Our ideal candidate: • Responsible, dependable and punctual • Enjoys working with children • Has reliable transportation • Has a valid driver's license and a good driving record • Is a non-smoker and non-vaper • Is present, attentive and engaged while caring for our daughter. We understand everyone needs to check their phone from time to time, but we're looking for someone who enjoys being fully present and interacting with her rather than spending most of the shift on their phone. • Is patient, energetic and comfortable keeping an active 10-year-old entertained Compensation: Pay is commensurate with experience, with some additional "bonus treats" for the right person. Mom is very looped into the community and enjoys taking care of people who take good care of her daughter!
