About Our Family:We are looking for a reliable, patient, and warm occasional babysitter for our two children (ages 5 and 11). Our 11-year-old is highly independent and mostly takes care of themselves, requiring minimal supervision. Our 5-year-old is very sweet but can be a tough settler. He struggles with separation anxiety and can feel shy, especially when he gets tired or upset and wants his mom. What We Are Looking For:We need a caregiver who is incredibly patient, confident, and skilled at comforting a child through big emotions. The ideal sitter should have a warm, nurturing presence and a toolkit of gentle de-escalation techniques (distraction, reading, redirection) rather than relying on screens to soothe or settle him.Responsibilities:Engage the kids in light activities or age-appropriate fun.Manage a calm, consistent bedtime routine for the 5-year-old.Provide a reassuring, comforting presence if the 5-year-old misses mom or gets upset.Prep simple snacks or meals if needed.
