Hi! I’m looking for a reliable, caring evening nanny for my toddler beginning around November 1. I work a consistent Sunday–Wednesday schedule from 1 PM–11 PM and am looking for someone who can become a dependable part of our weekly routine. Schedule – approximately 32 hours/week • Sunday: 12:00 PM–11:45 PM • Monday–Wednesday: 5:00 PM–11:45 PM • Monday–Wednesday will include daycare pickup by 5:00 PM. Daycare is only about 7 minutes from our home, and I will provide the car seat. Although the scheduled hours total around 32 hours per week, the position includes only about 13 hours of active childcare each week. He has a very consistent evening routine and is typically in bed around 6:30–7:00 PM, so the majority of the Monday–Wednesday shift will be spent in the home while he is sleeping. He is a sweet, active toddler who enjoys playing, exploring, and having someone engage with him during his awake time. He does well with routine, so I’m looking for someone who can provide a calm, consistent transition from daycare to home in the evenings. Monday–Wednesday, active care will generally consist of picking him up from daycare, bringing him home, dinner, a little playtime, bath, and getting him settled for bed. This is usually about 2 hours of active care each evening before he goes to sleep. Sunday is the longest active-care day. You would spend the afternoon with him, handle meals/snacks, playtime and his normal routine, then complete bath and bedtime around 6:30–7:00 PM. After bedtime, the remainder of the shift is primarily being present in the home while he sleeps. Once he is asleep, there are no additional household duties or expectations to stay busy. You are welcome to study, complete homework, watch TV, read, use your laptop, or simply relax as long as you remain in the home and are available if he wakes up. For a student or someone who enjoys having quiet evening time, this schedule could be a great fit. I’m primarily looking for someone who is reliable, trustworthy, patient, and comfortable with toddlers. Because I work later hours, consistency is extremely important to me. Requirements: • Previous toddler/young child experience • Valid driver’s license • Reliable transportation and auto insurance • Comfortable with daycare pickup • CPR/First Aid certification preferred • Dependable availability Sunday–Wednesday
