Babysitter Position We are looking for a reliable, responsible, and caring babysitter for our two children, ages 3 and 5. When Babysitting Is Needed * Days: Occasional, usually weekends * Hours: Typically between 6:00 PM and 12:30 AM * Days and hours may vary depending on our plans and needs. We may occasionally request a different day or time. Responsibilities: * Supervise the children and keep them safe at all times * Engage them in fun, age-appropriate activities, playtime, and crafts * Prepare and serve dinner and snacks * Clean up after the children and activities * Help with the bedtime routine * Keep the house tidy during and after the children’s activities * Load dishes and keep the kitchen/sink area clean after the children eat * Follow our household rules and parenting instructions * Be punctual, dependable, attentive, calm, and professional * Be comfortable with a safety camera in the children’s room * Be comfortable around our cat Requirements: * Fluent in English * At least 3 years of childcare experience with young children * Able to confidently divide attention between two children while remaining calm, patient, and attentive to each child’s individual needs * Comfortable with a cat in the home * Willing to complete a background check * Able to provide at least 3 childcare references whom I can contact by phone * must provide me with updates , after dinner and once the kids are asleep Babysitter Hiring Process 1. Phone Interview: A 15–20 minute phone call to get to know each other and discuss the position. 2. Background Check & References: If the phone call goes well, I will request a complete background check and contact at least 3 references by phone. 3. Meet & Greet: If the background check and references are satisfactory, we will arrange an in-person meet-and-greet so I can see how you interact with my children. 4. Hiring: If the meet-and-greet goes well and my children are comfortable with you, we can move forward with hiring. Schedule: This is an occasional babysitting position. Babysitting is scheduled as needed, with no fixed or guaranteed monthly schedule. It will usually be on a Saturday, depending on our plans and availability. Payment: Payment will be made through Zelle or Venmo after the babysitting shift is completed. The final amount will be confirmed by text or invoice before payment is sent. If the babysitting shift ends after midnight, payment may be sent within 24 hours after the service is completed.
