About this babysitting job

We are looking for an experienced and dependable overnight newborn caregiver to help us with our baby girl in our home in Arlington, Texas. The main goal is to help us safely care for our newborn overnight while allowing Mom to recover after delivery and both parents to get some rest. Responsibilities include: • Overnight newborn care and monitoring • Feeding bottles of pumped breast milk or formula as directed • Bringing the baby to Mom for breastfeeding when needed • Burping, diaper changes, soothing, and helping the baby settle back to sleep • Following safe sleep practices at all times • Washing and preparing bottles and basic breast pump parts used overnight • Keeping track of feedings, diaper changes, and sleep • Light baby-related cleanup only • Alerting us immediately if anything concerning occurs We are looking for someone who has significant hands-on experience caring for newborns, especially during the first few weeks of life. Newborn or infant CPR/First Aid certification is strongly preferred. We want someone who is calm, patient, gentle, reliable, attentive, and comfortable working independently overnight while the parents sleep nearby. This is newborn care, not general housecleaning. Our priority is the baby’s safety and giving Mom appropriate support and recovery time. We may initially need help approximately 2 to 3 nights per week, with the possibility of additional nights depending on how the first few weeks go. Please tell us about your newborn experience, overnight newborn-care experience, CPR/First Aid certification, availability, hourly or overnight rate, and whether you have references from families with newborns.
