About this nanny job
I’m a working single mom and shift supervisor looking for a dependable, patient, and caring babysitter to watch my level 2 autistic 10-year-old son in our home while I’m at work. I’m hoping to find someone trustworthy who can become a consistent part of our routine. Schedule & Hours: I need childcare approximately 4–5 days per week, depending on my work schedule. Start times may vary and could be around 4 PM, 5 PM, 6 PM, 7 PM, or 8 PM. End times will generally be around 3:15 AM Monday–Thursday or 4:15 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. Flexibility with evening and overnight hours is very important. I’m also interested in occasional backup care when available. About My Son: My son is 10 years old and autistic. He benefits from a patient, understanding caregiver who can provide a calm, safe, and supportive environment. He enjoys his tablet and computer, and it’s important to me that his routines, comfort, and individual needs are respected. Experience with autistic children or special-needs childcare is strongly preferred. Responsibilities: • Supervise him and ensure his safety throughout the evening and overnight. • Follow his normal bedtime and evening routines. • Serve meals and snacks (everything will be prepared and ready before I leave). • Assist with bathroom hygiene and handwashing as needed. • Provide companionship, gentle reminders, and help with transitions. • Keep an eye on him while he sleeps and ensure he remains safe. I will make sure the house is clean and his meals and everything he needs are prepared before my shift, so you can focus on caring for him. I’m looking for someone punctual, responsible, attentive, patient, and comfortable with overnight childcare. References and appropriate background screening are important to me. Please include your hourly rate, overnight availability, experience with children his age, and experience supporting autistic children when responding. I’m looking for someone reliable who can work with our family consistently. Thank you! ❤️
