Hi! My name is Rhayna, and I am a recent Howard graduate from the Chicagoland area. I am offering childcare and some household services. I absolutely fell in love assisting and caring for children after volunteering with preschools in high school, watching family members, and promptly working at an early learning program facility during undergrad. At the early learning program, I would prepare lunch/snacks while keeping the children entertained, assisted in water play, outdoor games, and crafts, and most importantly, I encouraged children to build their self esteem and sense of confidence while engaging in different social and academic environments. Additionally, I assisted some teachers by reviewing assignments for young students, aged 2 to 5 year olds. During the years, I have gained experience in Spanish tutoring, homework help, sport practice, and even meal preparation as I enjoy cooking. I am sure I could be an asset to your family. I am allergic to cats and dogs, but I am okay to be around most small hypoallergenic pets. Lastly, it is important to me that I and the families I work with are in alignment, therefore I am always responsive and willing to reach your specific goals and make sure desires are met for your child(ren). Thank You Rhayna Berryhill
I bring a well rounded background in childcare, education, wellness, and behavioral support, with experience caring for children across many ages, abilities, and settings. I’ve worked as a babysitter, a co-lead teacher in infant and toddler classrooms at Bright Horizons, and for Jumpstart during college, supporting early literacy and social-emotional development with young children. I also have experience creating fun, high energy environments from my time at Chuck E. Cheese, as well as coaching cheerleading, where I supported teamwork, confidence, and physical coordination. I’m currently a certified children’s yoga teacher and puppy yoga instructor, integrating movement, mindfulness, and play to help children regulate their energy, build body awareness, and feel confident in their bodies. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and have previous Behavioral Technician training, including experience supporting autistic children and working with NorthShore Pediatric Therapy in Chicago, giving me a strong foundation in developmental awareness, patience, and individualized care. While I don’t have children of my own, I’m a proud cat mom, and I approach caregiving with a nurturing, calm, and attentive presence. I am reliable, engaging, safety focused, and intentional, whether that means structured activities, gentle guidance, or simply creating a supportive, fun environment where children feel seen and cared for. I am also certified in Accessible & Chair Yoga that is great for seniors.
Hi! I’m a Howard University graduate (B.A. in Afro-American Studies, Cum Laude) with hands-on experience as a paraprofessional and tutor at a DC Montessori charter school, working closely with kids on academics, behavior support, and creative learning. I am especially talented with helping school aged children find their love of learning and encourage creativity as I myself am a writer. I’m patient, warm, and naturally good at making learning fun — I love bringing music, art, and storytelling into everyday activities. This fall I’m starting my Master of Social Work focused on child wellbeing, so this work is genuinely part of my path, not just a job. I’m reliable, easy to communicate with, and comfortable with pets too (cat mom to a tuxedo cat named Luna). I’d love to bring energy and care to your family this summer!

Hi! My name is Epiphany and I have been a teacher for the last 5 years. I am originally from Nashville, TN, but have been in the DMV area for the last 7 years now. My passion for wanting to educate children came from simply always being around children and seeing what their wants and needs are. Children are my passion and I have worked with all ages on many different levels. Babysitting is just another way for me to show children that they are allowed to be kids! I will support their learning process, all while having a blast! I always like to come with a babysitting bag that includes toys, coloring books, games, and even arts and crafts supplies, with permission of course. My bag also includes a jacket, umbrella, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and disposable wipes. I can be very flexible and open with scheduling as well. Some fun things about me: I love to sing, exercise, cook, and most importantly eating!
I’m a Junior Psychology and Criminology double major at Howard University in Washington, DC. I was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. I have worked as a AVID Tutor in HS, Columbia Heights Education Campus Mentor in DC, and Church Camp Counselor in Durham, NC. In my youth, I was a Cheerleader (varsity), Girl Scout (up to Brownie), and I sang in my church choir. I’m compassionate and inquisitive. I love baking, 1,000 piece puzzles, legos, arts and crafts, and reading. I am also learning 3 languages on Doulingo Plus (French, Spanish, and Haitian Cerole). And, of course children! Also, I have my drivers license and I turn 21 years old in late October!

When I was a child, I was in daycare myself. As I got older, I began to also assist my daycare giver with the younger children. That period of my life would be the most hands-on experience with all ages when it came to babysitting. By living in a gated community, I’ve grown close with the people in my village, and at times I would be the oldest on the block so I would play and babysit the younger children for the night while the adults went out. In 2020, I was one of the founders of a Remote Tutoring business where I served as a secretary, and a tutor myself. We serviced Pre-K to 12th grade and I would tutor Pre-K to 8th grade in a variety of subjects. Given that I was a highschooler at the time, I was able to build a very strong bond with my students because at times, children tend to listen more to people who are closer in age with them. Shortly after graduating high school, I worked at a Coding summer camp in El Segundo called CodeNinjas where I babysat and taught technology essentials to K-5th, 5 times a week for 4 hours. Most recently as of this past March, I traveled to St. Louis, Missouri for spring break with my college, Howard University to service that community through youth empowerment, and violence prevention. For a whole week, I worked with plenty of children of all ages at different schools. Specifically, I assisted the youth by tutoring 1-on-1, intermingled with the students about college and general life, packaged 8 pallets of toys and school supplies for nearby recreation centers, community centers, and schools. I enjoy cooking and because of that, I am experienced in both preparing meals and cleaning. I have a high respect for all my elders since I am the youngest in the family and was raised by older generations.

Hello! My name is Ameerah, and I’m a sophomore Philosophy major at Howard University with aspirations of attending law school. I currently work at the Meaningful Futures Organization in Bethesda, Maryland as a camp counselor, working with children with disabilities on Saturdays. I’m looking for more part-time work during the week! I’m 20 years old and have a variety of hobbies, including reading, journaling, painting, and crafting. I’ve had a passion for working with children for years. In high school, I volunteered and worked with kids in several roles: camp counselor, camp volunteer, and camp mentor. My duties included supervising children ages 5-15 during lunch, recess, downtime, and field trips. I also led activities like kickball, arts and crafts lessons, and made sure the younger children took their naps. Additionally, I’ve worked with an after-school program called Better Than Schools as an after-school care teacher. In that role, I supervised field trips, assisted students with homework, led fun and educational house mania activity days, and curated lesson plans to ensure the children were engaged and learning. Growing up in a large family, I often babysat my siblings and cousins, which gave me even more hands-on experience with caring for children. If you have any questions about my experience or qualifications, please feel free to reach out!
