Hi, I’m Shylah! I’m a part-time student at Wayne community college with a passion for working with children. Over the past 7 years, I’ve babysat my nephews regularly since they were 10 months old. I’ve recently gained 1 year of professional experience in childcare with children ranging 4 months old to 3 years old. I prioritize creating a nurturing environment where kids feel safe, happy, and excited to learn and play.

Hi! I’m a working professional with a passion for mentoring and supporting youth. I currently work full time as an Operations Manager and recently started a small business focused on youth mentorship, academic support, and life skills. My background includes experience in community mental health and foster care, along with volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Detroit and Child Safe Michigan. I’m looking to connect with families who could use dependable weekend support and, most importantly, build a positive, long term relationship with their child and family.

I have been a child care teacher for 7 years with 8-9 years of child care/babysitting experience. I love playing games, dancing , painting and reading with little ones ! I also love animals (I am alittle nervous with certain dog breeds like the more aggressive ones , but willing to meet them ) . I am willing to do light housework, and meal prep, but I do not run errands as I do not have a drivers license or car. ( yes I do have reliable transportation!)
