I have experience babysitting children ranging from 18 months up to 13 years, including kids with ADHD and ASD. I'm a pretty calm and easygoing guy, and always make an effort to engage with the kids I watch. I’m a pretty active person and like to get the kids outside when I can; bike rides, lava monster and soccer are frequent activities. While I personally enjoy physical activities, I'm always happy to take it easy and break out some table games or crafts for a quiet night in. I am comfortable with pets as well. P.S. I completed my bachelor's in March ’22, and am currently searching for work in the communications field.

Hello! My name is Radiya and I am a college student studying Biomedical Science. I’m also an avid baker and food enthusiast! I grew up as the youngest sibling for almost thirteen years until my little brother was finally born. Since my older siblings were in college and very busy and both of my parents were employed, I shared responsibilities of taking care of my younger brother since high school. I also have an abundant amount of younger cousins that I would babysit so I’ve grown up around children my whole life and am very comfortable caring for kids of all ages. I have two cats at home so I am experienced with feeding cats, cleaning litters, etc. I don’t have much experience with dogs, but as long as they gets to know me and are relatively calm, I don’t mind being in the company of any dogs!

Hello! My name is Emily. I am a pediatric speech therapist. I love children and have worked with kids of all ages throughout my life in varying roles from nanny to therapist. I decided to become a sitter because in therapy, my time working with a child was typically limited to a 30-minute timeframe; additionally, more of my time was spent writing lengthy justifications for insurance companies than working with the child. The reason I chose to work with children is that I enjoy them! And I want to spend time with them, engaging them on all levels. I was a single parent (until my daughter was 10 years of age) before meeting my amazing husband who I've now been married to for 24 years! Although we have become empty-nesters, I remember the challenges that come with parenting, and I have extreme gratitude for those who supported me through the years with their time, love, and encouragement. P.S. I now have a grandson and granddaughter who are the apples of my eye (I promise, it is the best role ever)! From my early years of caring for younger siblings and/or cousins, baby-sitting, and eventually enjoying my friend’s kids, I have always had an innate talent for meeting kids where they are...for seeing their needs and their talents and helping, listening, and encouraging them in their daily activities and/or struggles. I believe children need to feel loved, heard, challenged, and inspired, and that is one of my greatest desires. Plainly said, I have a huge heart for children and feel a strong calling to help them become their very best selves. I have a background in music (vocal performance) and love to implement music throughout my daily life. I also enjoy animals, baking, arts and crafts, reading, bird-watching, and spending time outdoors (especially anything water-related). I like routines, I am a neatnik (although I appreciate a good mess in the name of adventure), I choose creativity over screen-time, and I am a stickler for good manners and respect for others.

I’ve been babysitting and nannying since middle school, whether for a family here and there, or long-term. In high school I nannied for three, pre- and elementary school-aged boys. Twice a week for three years I picked them up from school, took them to swimming, tennis, or soccer lessons, and helped with homework. Over the summer, I worked at Bear Mountain Stables where I took children on horseback rides through the mountains and held private lessons for children 6-12 years-old. During my undergrad, I was an RA and head RA. I have a master’s degree from Western Washington University and taught ENG 101 for two years. I also worked at a youth coach at VITAL climbing gym for 2 years where I taught children aged 8-17 to climb safely indoors. The no b also required activity planning, encouraging teamwork, encouraging commitment and hard work, and deescalation. I currently work full time remotely for an online magazine, but am looking for the occasional weekday job (my hours are very flexible).

My passion in life is connecting with people and sharing the beauty of this human experience with each other as a means of creating community. Nearly all of the jobs I have ever had involve working with people of all different ages. I babysat for local families all through high school and college, spent two summers working as a camp counselor for middle and high schoolers, and most recently helped care for a friend's grandmother in an in-home care setting. I recently finished a bachelor's degree through WWU's Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies in which I explored themes of community and care work, which involved taking birth and postpartum doula courses. I am currently in a transition period between traveling and moving out of state, and am looking for work until mid-October.

Hi there, I’m Corinne! I believe that creative play is integral to a happy life so being able to facilitate that for kids who are just discovering each new medium is a dream come true. I have a BFA in Studio Art from Western Washington University and have spent the past two years working at arts-centered preschools where I lead weekly projects for the students. Their fresh approaches and willingness to experiment are incredibly inspiring for me. I love babysitting and nannying because it gives me the opportunity to work one on one with kids which isn't always possible in a preschool environment. I have always been an avid reader and find a lot of joy in reading stories with children.
