Find an after school nanny in Canyon, CA

I’m currently a freshman in college. I have been working for care.com for the past 6 months and I heard a lot of good reviews about urban sitter so I want to give it a try. I’m the second oldest and I have helped take care of all my younger siblings while my parents were at work as well. I know how to cook, make baby bottles, change diapers, burp, and entertain children. I have great patience. I’ve always wanted to be in the medical field. specifically for a neonatologist or pediatrician. My youngest sister has autism and I’ve taken classes with my mother to find out different ways to help and benefit her in anyway possible. I can say I have experience with autism children as well.

Preschool Teacher with a Master's degree in Psychology seeking to return to nannying. CPR and First-Aid certified. I completed my Master's in Psychology in 2021 and am eventually planning to return to graduate school to pursue licensure as a marriage and family therapist. I am warm, patient, kind, and genuinely care deeply for the children in my life. I am so grateful to spend my days with them. I love reading with children, doing art projects, playing at the park, and singing songs together. I place a strong emphasis on social-emotional learning and modeling kindness and empathy. I also enjoy fostering children’s innate interests and curiosities. As a former teacher, I am confident in supplementing and enriching children’s learning. It is deeply important to me to maintain contact with the children for whom I served as a nanny and essential that families understand the genuine love that can exist between children and their long-term caregivers.
