I have 9 years of experience babysitting and caring for children from infant to adolescence. I am loving, patient, and very energetic! I love reading, arts & crafts, and dancing. I am fluent in English and Spanish! I have completed many child development classes and through that, I earned my Associate Teacher certificate. During my freshman year in high school, I worked with many families doing afterschool care. I would also volunteer at the Downtown River Boys and Girls club in Petaluma every day after school. Soon after I was offered a program coordinator position for the Boys & Club where I ran all kinds of enrichment programs while also helping children with their homework and building warm relationships with them. I also volunteered at Mt. Taylor Children’s Center in Rohnert Park where I engaged children in playtime, read books, and made sure children were safe at all times. My work through high school helped me realize I have a passion for caring and teaching children. I am a great role model for children and want to help guide them through their life’s in the most positive manner.

“Great with our kids while we were in town for a party!”

Hello👋 My name is Maggie and I am looking for occasional nanny gigs/jobs to fill my spare time! I have a BA from Sonoma State University majoring in Anthropology with a minor in Spanish and an MA in Biological Anthropology from Texas State University. I currently teach biological anthropology courses at the Santa Rosa Junior College. I have been babysitting quite literally my whole life! I enjoy playing creatively indoors and out, as well as doing crafts, and am great at mealtimes (I love to cook and am quite capable in the kitchen). I look forward to meeting you and your families!

“Our little one quickly took to Maggie, and she handled nap/bedtime, meals, and entertainment naturally. We look forward to using her again when visiting wine country with our LO. ”

“Vasty was a wonderful babysitter for my son and his cousin! She showed up on time and my 19 month old immediately took a liking to her. She had no problem entertaining both boys, getting them dinner, and putting the youngest to bed. If we lived in the area, she would be our go to!”

Mina

$35 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 6 families in Rohnert Park, CA

I’m a devoted mother of two adult children, including a daughter with special needs who was born prematurely. Doctors didn’t expect her to survive, but with my constant, loving care like that of a nurse she grew strong. That experience taught me deep patience, medical awareness, and how to nurture with compassion. I’ve also cared for children and elderly family members, as in my culture we show great respect and love for our elders. Most recently, I cared for a baby here in the U.S., giving me hands-on experience with infants in a new environment. I’m very patient, attentive, and trustworthy. Caring for others isn’t just my job it’s my passion.

“Mina is a warm and lovely caretaker. Our 3 year old son took to her immediately. We were working from home while she watched him, and it sounded like they had lots of fun! She took him for walks around the yard and played in the house when he wanted to go back in. Especially when he was a bit sad and missed mom and dad, she comforted him and got him happy again within 20 minutes. We will hopefully be hiring Mina in the future when we are staying in the area!”

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
