Hi, families! I’m Cierra, a dedicated educator with over 11 years of experience working with children. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Relations and a Master’s degree in Teaching Early Childhood Education. I’m currently a 2nd grade teacher with DC Public Schools (DCPS)! Before joining DCPS, I taught in charter schools and worked at highly regarded childcare centers, including Little Scholars at the Library of Congress and Tiny Findings at the GAO, where I served as Lead Teacher in infant and toddler classrooms. Babysitting and nannying are true passions of mine! I enjoy helping families with evening, weekend, holiday, overnight, and school-break care. As an educator and a proud mom to a fun-loving 7-year-old daughter, I understand the importance of finding someone who is nurturing, dependable, and trustworthy. I love creating fun, engaging experiences that help children learn, grow, and feel cared for! ❤️ A little more about me: * 🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Human Relations * 🍎 Master’s degree in Teaching Early Childhood Education * 👩🏽‍🏫 Current 2nd Grade Teacher with DCPS * 📚 Experience teaching in both charter and public schools * 🏫 11+ years of childcare and educational experience * 🍼 Former Lead Teacher in infant and toddler classrooms * ❤️ Proud mom to a fun-loving daughter * 🔺 Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Outside of teaching, I’m working toward my dream of opening my own childcare center!!

“Cierra was great! Especially considering it was a last minute booking. She was communicative from the start, asked the right questions, and got right to work. She had a very calming energy which helped keep my ordinarily anxious baby at ease. Definitely will be re-booking and highly recommend! ”

Hello parents, My name is Elizabeth, and I am based in Washington, DC. I hold a BA in Accounting & Finance, but my true passion has always been working with children. I began caring for infants and toddlers at a young age, supporting family members and neighbors, and I also have experience teaching third grade in my home country. I have cared for children of all ages—from newborns to teens—including those with autism, asthma, and eczema. My background includes part-time caregiving within my community, working at a daycare center in London after earning my First Aid certification, and serving as an assistant karate instructor for five years with children ages 5 to 13. Families appreciate my patience, reliability, and ability to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. I enjoy planning creative activities that support children’s development while making sure they feel happy and secure. In my free time, I enjoy reading, puzzles, arts and crafts, and spending time outdoors. I am currently babysitting once per week and would love the opportunity to support your family.

“Elizabeth was great! She showed up early and was so gentle with my baby. Her calm energy was very soothing for him (as a baby that doesn’t always do well with new, unknown people). I look forward to working with her again and recommend. ”

*Primarily interested in work in the Capitol Hill area* I have spent the past twelve years nannying full time for kids ranging from newborn-13 year (specializing in infant and toddler care). Prior to nannying I taught acting classes for preschool aged children for three years. I love to do creative things with the kids I sit for including visual art, dance, and imaginative play. I'm also a big fan of the outdoors. I enjoy it when the children in my care share with me the interests that make them excited!

I’ve use urbansitter in the years of 2[removed] and took a break to travel and focus on my career in the government. I wanted to come back because I’ve seen that with the events of things going on in the world I know that moms and dads need much needed breaks and resets. I love spending time with the kiddos and I also don’t mind tending to your pets, plants, doing household chores and even cooking dinner or helping with meal prep.

Hi, I'm Nastasha. I am 37 years old. I was raised in Montgomery County Maryland. I am the oldest of 3 and I have over 10 years of experience in child care. I currently teach dance to all ages (babies to seniors), as well as mommy and me seasonal swim lessons. I am free most days unless I'm teaching. I own a car and can travel to you If needed. Among my classes I also teach physical fitness classes to pre-schoolers in the DMV area and have lots of random sports equipment and toys for children. I also love to make up games using music and props. Throughout the years I have gained extensive knowledge on baby massage, baby yoga, and effective physical therapy techniques that help babies reach developmental milestones. I have been entrusted to drive children in parent's cars to "caretaker and me" gym classes, swim classes, music classes and more. I enjoy running errands with the little one in tow. If you need groceries or dry cleaning, I would love to assist. I like to organize my week with activities relevant to your child's age. I can help keep your kitchen and child's room tidy. I enjoy taking the kids out for walks, playground fun, library visits and other field trips. Safety is my number one priority. I am nurturing and loving, and heavily focused on education and physical development. I look forward to assisting you soon!

“I honestly cannot say enough about Tasha and how much she has meant to our family. She started caring for my daughter when she was just 4 months old, so she was there for so many of her firsts and important stages of early development. Over time, she became so much more than our nanny. She became someone I completely trusted and someone who played a huge role in helping my daughter grow. Tasha helped her reach so many important milestones, including taking her first steps and learning to walk. She also worked with her on eating with utensils, identifying objects, animals and their sounds, colors, language, and so many everyday skills. There were constantly moments when my daughter would surprise me by knowing something I didn’t even realize she knew, and I know so much of that came from Tasha. She made sure her days were filled with learning and experiences. She took her to the library, weekly baby gym, nature centers, playgrounds, and swimming lessons, always giving her opportunities to explore, learn, socialize, and have fun. For about nine months, we also did a nanny share with a friend and her daughter, and Tasha seamlessly cared for both girls while keeping them safe, engaged, and learning. When I returned to work and eventually went back into the office, I had complete peace of mind knowing my daughter was with Tasha. She sent me pictures throughout the day and regular updates, and I never worried about her safety or well-being. Now that my daughter is in school, I can really see the foundation Tasha helped build. She already knows many of the things being taught, and her vocabulary and communication skills are very strong for her age. It makes me appreciate even more all the time, patience, and learning Tasha poured into her. I am incredibly grateful that Tasha was part of my daughter’s early years. She was loving, dependable, patient, and genuinely invested in her development. She will always be a special part of my daughter’s story and our family’s story. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have her.”

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
