Hi my name is Tachét I am writing to express my sincere interest in being considered for a Caregiver position with your organization. I am eager to begin working in a role where I can support others, make a positive difference in their daily lives, and continue to learn and grow professionally. I am a dependable, patient, compassionate, hardworking, and motivated individual who understands the importance of providing care with kindness, respect, and dignity. As a mother of three children, ages 4, 2, and 1, I have developed strong skills in patience, responsibility, organization, communication, and meeting the individual needs of children. Caring for my own children has strengthened my ability to create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment while managing daily routines and responsibilities. In addition to my experience as a mother, I have professional experience working with children through after-school programs and as a paraprofessional. These experiences have given me the opportunity to support children with their learning, development, daily activities, and individual needs. They have also taught me the importance of patience, understanding, teamwork, communication, and building positive relationships with the children in my care. I understand that working as a caregiver requires attentiveness, empathy, reliability, and the ability to build trusting relationships. I am comfortable assisting with daily routines, providing encouragement and support, maintaining a safe environment, and following instructions carefully. I am also willing to learn from experienced professionals and continue developing my caregiving skills. My goal is to build a meaningful career in caregiving while helping those in my care feel safe, comfortable, respected, supported, and valued. I am committed to working hard, learning new skills, and providing compassionate and dependable care. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to be considered for a caregiver position. Thank you for taking the time to review my application. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my experience, qualifications, and how I can contribute to your organization and the individuals you serve.

Imani $18 per hour for 1 child

A Bit About Me – My Journey in Childcare Back in 2017, I found myself stepping into the world of childcare, mostly curious (and a little excited) about the fun, messy, and unpredictable world of daycare. What started as just a job quickly turned into something more—I realized how much I genuinely enjoy being around kids and helping them grow. That spark led me to enroll at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn to study childhood education more seriously. For about 3.5 years, I wore a lot of different hats in daycares—everything from assistant teacher to lead teacher—working with little ones as young as 6 months all the way up to 5 years old. After that, I shifted gears a bit and spent a year in afterschool programs with the older kids (ages 5 to 13) as a group leader. I’ve also been a helping hand for a few families on the side, stepping in whenever they’ve needed extra support. What I love most are the everyday moments with the kids—the silly laughs, the unexpected questions, the small wins that mean everything. No two days are ever the same, and that’s what keeps it exciting. For me, it’s all about being part of a child’s journey, watching them grow, and knowing I played even a small part in it.

Ashley $20 per hour for 1 child

Hi everyone, I’m Ashley! Caring for kids has always been a natural part of my life. As the oldest sibling, I’ve been the go-to person in my family for years, especially when parents are traveling and need someone dependable to hold down the fort. Beyond my family, I’ve babysat friends' kids, worked with children through my church’s praise dance group, and I regularly do kids' hair. These experiences have taught me a lot about being patient and making sure kids feel comfortable. I’m very big on safety and being aware of my surroundings, so my top priority is always making sure your home is secure and the kids are well-protected. I’m also a dog mom to a Pomchi! I'm great with small dogs and comfortable with other pets too, as long as they are friendly with new people. I truly understand the trust it takes to leave your children with someone new, so I’m more than happy to do a quick phone call or Zoom meeting so we can get to know each other first. It helps me feel more connected to the families I work with and ensures everyone feels safe and comfortable! I’m reliable, I show up on time, and I love keeping kids engaged and well-cared for. I’m also happy to help with hair or any light tasks you might need.

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
