I’m Carly, and I’ve been a nanny for over 10 years, working with children from newborns to teenagers. With a background as both a caregiver and a creative performer, I bring a calm, imaginative, and nurturing presence into every home. I love incorporating art, meditation, and creative play into my time with kids, and I’m also happy to provide homework support and tutoring when needed. In addition to childcare, I offer light household help: laundry, dishes, basic cooking, and general tidying. to make your day a little smoother. I also have experience providing emotional support for hospice patients and the elderly, which has strengthened my patience, empathy, and communication skills. My approach is warm, reliable, and grounded, and I’m comfortable caring for kids, supporting seniors, helping with pets, and keeping a household running smoothly. . I’d love to connect and see how I can support your family!

How’s it going , When it comes to raising four boys at home, The safety awareness skills you learn while mothering your own children will stay with you throughout your life. Racing my four boys taught me the stages of childhood development and what to expect at different ages. These skills are useful when working with kids at any time in the future and especially if you are planning on working with children to make living! How to entertain children With enough motherhood skills plus caring for other children, you can have child-entertaining down to a fine art. You can quickly become a master of playing, reading, singing, drawing, improvising, and having fun. Children get sick a lot (particularly when attending childcare centers), so caring for them when they are not well is something you will pick up right away. There are many tactics to know that can make a child feel more comfortable, loved, and to help them recover quicker. You can also learn how to prevent the spread of germs and stop other people from getting sick, including yourself! Helping children to understand their emotions, manage their feelings, and learn the difference between right and wrong behavior is challenging, but it is also a rewarding experience. There are many subtleties to learn and every family may have a slightly different set of disciplinary values they wish to uphold. Sometimes children are prone to tantrums. You can learn to pre-empt trigger situations, and how to plan around them. You can learn the art of distraction (very powerful) and if a tantrum does occur, you can learn how to stay calm in stressful situations while remaining firm with your principles. Child encouragement and motivation strategies! Explaining why things need to be done! Building trust, and; Leading by example. These learned strategies can be invaluable in your day-to-day when dealing with children. I hope this answers some of your questions and please to hesitate to contact me if you are willing to meet. I have excellent references available upon request. My references can attest to my dedication, reliability, and the positive impact I have had on the children I have cared for. Have a bless day.... Hello everyone, I began my career as a Montessori preschool teacher, where I developed a deep understanding of child-led learning, developmental milestones, and creating enriching, structured environments. In 2019, I transitioned into professional nannying, bringing my classroom expertise into private homes to provide personalized, high-quality care. My approach blends Montessori principles with attentive, individualized care ensuring each child feels secure, confident, and inspired to explore their world. I am warm, patient, and caring, always valuing safety, respect, and open communication. I strive to communicate clearly and kindly, fostering an atmosphere of trust. When working with children, I like to use positive reinforcement, simple explanations, and consistent follow through to create a supportive environment. With parents, I remain organized and transparent, making sure everyone feels heard and valued.

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
