I’m Kate, a 37 year old career nanny who moved from Chicago to LA in 2021 for a jet-setting/bi-coastal, travel heavy nanny position, and once the position ended, I decided to stay out here permanently. I live in Orange County with my girlfriend, and work M-Th, 7a-7p, in Studio City. My previous position was Jan ‘23- Nov ‘24. My background has always been in early childhood, and majored in early childhood education in college. I have years of experience with all age ranges and backgrounds: from kids who thrive in group settings to kids that do best with individualized, 1:1 care to kids who are neurodivergent. My first and top priority is the safety and wellbeing. Second is play, exploration, imagination, creativity, and seeing kids explore based on what they are into and things they find interesting. Third is, in my day-to-day, I take a child-centered approach. Including, but not limited to: time outside, walks, going to playgrounds, and finding activities within the home that the kids enjoy. My experience includes: working as a in-home support worker with neurodivergent kids, have worked at 3 early childhood centers (both as an assistant teacher and lead teacher); and all my experience has been from newborn to school age. In my free time: I love checking out new restaurants, adventuring the outdoors with my girlfriend, finding new trails to hike on AllTrails, the beach, and weekend trips

I am a former elementary school science teacher and a marine scientist. I've been working with kids for 22 years: both as a teacher and as a babysitter for family (7 nieces and nephews), friends (I'm "auntie" to many more), and a professional babysitting company. I love working with kids because I am one at heart and love to discover the world at their level. I love running around playing games, doing crafts, reading books, and I am a great homework helper. When I get some free time, I love to go kayaking, hiking, and snorkeling.

I have over 30 years of experience as a caregiver to children, pets and the elderly. I have been responsible for multiples, pick-ups, drop-offs, meals, homework help, bathing, bedtime and overnight stays. I am an animal lover so I am more than happy to help with pet sitting and care as well. I also have experience working with special needs children.
