Hi families! My name is Makena, and I'm a 20-year-old student at the University of Kentucky originally from San Ramon, California and will be in San Ramon for the summer. I've always enjoyed working with kids and have experience babysitting, including caring for a 10-year-old boy over the summer, experience as a summer camp counselor, and helped as an assistant cheer coach for the summer at California high school. During my time babysitting, I helped with meals, transportation, activities, and making sure he had a fun and safe time. I'm also comfortable caring for pets and have experience with both cats and dogs. As a former Division I athlete and lifelong cheerleader, I'm energetic, patient, good under pressure, and love to stay active. Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Quantitative Psychology at UC Davis. I come from a family of four but have experience sitting for my baby cousins, dogs and keeping the kids entertained. I love caregiving because of the ability to be there for kids to have fun and also make sure they are doing so in a kind and respectful manner. Something about me is I am a nature lover and an athlete! I have been running track for about 6 years now competitively and I love being a part of a team community and making friends though my love for the sport.
