I am a former elementary school teacher with interests in education/tutoring, reading, and spending time outdoors. My subject matter expertise while teaching was math and science for elementary students, but I have worked with children as young as toddlers up through high school age. I started babysitting and tutoring when I was in middle school and have worked with children throughout college and my career. I am also offering household services such as laundry, house sitting, and pet care.

Hi there, I’m Kaelyn! After taking a break from UrbanSitter to work with families independently, I’m excited to reconnect with this amazing community. I’ve lived in San Francisco since 2017 and earned my B.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of San Francisco in December 2020. Now, I work full-time as a Program Manager in the biotech industry (specifically the research side of molecular diagnostics) I’ve been babysitting since I was 2011, starting with family friends’ children & gaining experience throughout HS, College, and Post Grad with a wide variety of ages & number of children, experience with 3mo–12 yrs and 1-3 children. As well over the years, I’ve gained extensive childcare experience, including five summers as a camp counselor at Rawhide Ranch, a Western horse camp in San Diego. As a counselor for 5-12 children a week, between children 7-15. There, I assisted with meals, cabin life, teaching classes, and creating a fun, positive environment for campers. In 2019, I worked as an Au Pair in Madrid, caring for two wonderful girls (ages 8 and 11). I loved teaching them English and forming a lasting bond with their family. Childcare has always been a passion of mine. Whether babysitting or tutoring in science and math, I enjoy engaging with kids through games, songs, and creative activities. Growing up in San Diego as a Disney enthusiast, I still love a good Disney movie night to unwind after a fun-filled day. Looking forward to connecting with your family soon!

Joana here. I came from Brazil to SF in 2007, and have been living on Bernal Heights since then. I've been babysitting kids of all ages professionally for the past 15 years, in a wide range of ways. School pickups, taking to activities, sleep overs, date nights, back up nanny for the day, taking kids to museums, zoo, playgrounds, hikes, etc. I have traveled to 25 countries and love sharing my experiences.
