I am a graduate student at the University of Southern California. I went to the University of San Francisco for my undergrad, and ended up spending 7 years living in the city. Originally, I am from Texas and I have a younger brother and sister, and am older than most of my cousins so I have a lot of experience with kids and teenagers. I also mentored at Corey Elementary school during my junior year of high and at Boles Jr. High school during my senior year of high school. Hi there! I’m Naomi, I recently graduated from SFSU with a bachelor’s in communications! I also work with a local nonprofit that provides after-school child care. I get to teach and supervise a group of awesome first graders every day, and it’s truly the highlight of my week. Hi! I'm Kate, and I can help with a lot of things! In my work as a caregiver, educator, and developmental interventionist, I am deeply committed to helping children understand that they matter. In 2018 I earned a master’s degree in School Counseling which gave me in-depth training in child development, social-emotional learning, and behavioral support. After working for years in public schools in various advising/interventionist roles, I decided to apply my knowledge and skills in more flexible, hands-on settings — working directly with children and families in their homes. I encourage curiosity, creativity, and fun in my work with kids. My classroom experience has given me a lot of tools such as ways to make routines fun, communicating rules and expectations, using positive reinforcement, and tons of arts and crafts ideas. Through patient guidance and empathy, I help children build their communication skills and practice emotional regulation so they can thrive socially and academically. My name is ElizaBess, I go by Bess. I am 20 years old, a current Registered Behavior Technician, have been sitting for family and friends for around 7 years now and I adore children. I’m very passionate about providing care to children with special needs, specifically autism. I have a pup, Daisy, who is my absolute best friend. In addition to childcare and RBT experience, I also have multiple years of experience in the customer service industry. I got my first job at 14, working at an ice cream shop so I know how to make exceptional treats. I think what makes me a great sitter is that I see the kids as just as much of a person with feelings, opinions and emotions as me. I’m not one to try to put the kids to sleep as fast as I can in order to have my own time. I genuinely enjoy spending time and learning/getting to know these kids in order to make a connection. Despite my age, I am not irresponsible or inexperienced nor am I overly strict or uptight.
