At the age of fourteen, I started working with kids at Pinehurst Cabana Club every summer. I teach all ages how to swim from 16 weeks old to 72 years young. I work at Pinhurst every summer for the past five years and I love every minute of it. I also am a referee for soccer dealing with a lot of 10 and under kids. I enjoy working and playing with kids. I also assist as a referee for soccer. During my middle school years, I worked with autistic elementary students who needed a little more assistance.

Hi, my name is Nancy and I have been working with children ranging in age from 3 months to 15 years old for approximately 21 years . I have a Teacher permit through the state of California and an Associate in Science degree in the field of Early Childhood Education. Currently I provide early intervention services to children in their homes, working on any developmental delays they have. I coach parents on how to play with their child as part of their daily routine. In addition, I have a business as a special education advocate, helping parents through the IEP process. My child care experience began many years ago as a babysitter for families in my neighborhood. I have always enjoyed working with children and experiencing the joy of watching them grow, learn and explore the world around them. I worked as a nanny in Hawaii while also working as a youth development mentor at the Boys and Girls Club of Maui. My experience teaching at child care centers allowed me the opportunities to care for children as young as 3 months old, which included daily routines of diapering, feeding and napping, as well as reading, singing and soothing. I have experience with tummy time, bottle feeding, determining why an infant may be upset and of course, building a trusting relationship. As the children got older, I was an integral part of their development from crawling and scooting to assisted walking, to walking without assistance; from bottles to cups and finger foods, and language development. Hi, my name is Montse. I received my masters (M.S) in Multicultural Counseling and B.S. in Psychology at SDSU. I currently work as a mental health therapist at a children’s hospital in San Diego. As part of my lifestyle I spend my free time practicing mindfulness, enjoying the outdoors, reading and spending time with family/pets/friends. I have learned how incredibly well all these practices compliment each other. While going to school I worked as a behavior therapist for children on the autism spectrum and spent many years working in after school care programs. On some evenings I enjoy providing child care services. Im a patient, caring, creative, compassionate, reliable, responsible, and fun-natured individual who simply has an affinity for working with children. I am bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish (I love speaking Spanish with kiddos and/or teaching new learners). I enjoy engaging children in story time, peek-a-boo, arts and crafts, music, and other forms of stimulating, educational, age-appropriate play. I also enjoy taking children for walks, to local parks, aquariums, museums, beach, movies, library, and finding free/affordable extra-curricular activities where they can have some age-appropriate experiences.
