Entering into my senior year as a student-athlete at San Jose State, I'm excited to spend my summer providing exceptional childcare. My positive experiences in previous babysitting roles, coupled with being a middle child, have instilled in me a genuine love for kids. I have three years of experience caring for children of all ages and am comfortable with up to two children at a time. I'm patient, creative, friendly, and very comfortable enforcing household rules. I came to the United States from Ukraine two and a half years ago to help my brother care for his children. At that time, the older girl was five years old and the younger had just been born. I cared for them full-time until recently, when the younger one began kindergarten. Through this experience, I discovered how much I enjoy working with children and how rewarding caregiving can be. My professional background is in healthcare — I am trained as a nurse — which has given me a strong foundation in responsibility, patience, and attentiveness to others’ needs. In addition, I have completed CPR and First Aid training here in the U.S., so families can feel confident that their children are in safe hands. Now that my niece is in school, I am looking for a new opportunity where I can bring my skills, experience, and genuine love of caregiving to support other families. Hi, my name is Lauren. I have three years of experience working with children (both formal and informal). I have done pickup/drop off for grade school kids, taken them to the library, park, and extra curricular activities. I’m currently working full time, during the school year, as a Behavior Technician at Los Altos School District; I have worked in ABA therapy and alongside children with ASD for a little over three years now.
