Hello, my name is Lacey and I am a second year in college and CSU Long Beach majoring in Public Health. I have always had a passion for working with kids, which is a big part of why I want to become a pediatric PA in the future. I have two nieces and three nephews of my own from infant to 4 years, and spending time with them and babysitting them has given me a lot of hands on experience caring for children of different ages and personalities. I have also babysat for other families with kids who are older ages and really enjoyed creating a fun, safe, and positive environment for them to be in. I would describe myself as patient, responsible, and energetic. I love being creative, playing games, and being outside to have fun, but also love a movie night once in a while. I can do anything from cooking a meal, maybe not gourmet, but something balanced and sustainable and even helping with homework, especially in math and science. I have previously been CPR certified although it recently expired, but I am working on getting certified again! I am also a big animal lover and have four dogs and a cat of my own, so I am completely comfortable caring for pets too. I also have my own reliable car, so I can provide transportation if needed and am also willing to drive the family car if preferred. Although I don’t have formal nanny experience, I was a nurse in Japan for 15 years. At my previous employment in Japan, I worked in the emergency room for three years and was a pediatrics nurse 2-3 times/month. I did triage for kids, checking the temprature/breaths, and helped docter's phlebotomy, making sure kids were getting nebulizers. Basically, I love kids, they make me smile!
