Hello Parents, I’m currently available for occasional babysitting and part-time childcare in Oakland. My childcare journey began in 2009, when I worked as an Au Pair in the Netherlands for a wonderful family with a seven-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl. After moving to the U.S. in 2011, I continued babysitting and have since gained experience with infants, multiples, and school-age children. Beyond keeping kids safe and supported, I focus on modeling kindness, curiosity, and respect. I enjoy supporting children as they build confidence, independence, and thoughtfulness. I have extensive experience with infants, babies (including multiples), toddlers, and school-age children. My most recent long-term childcare role was in 2021, caring for a one-year-old baby girl. Since then, I’ve continued babysitting regularly and maintaining long-term relationships with families. I’ve studied Child Development at Merritt College in Oakland, hold a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising with a minor in Cinema, and recently completed my MBA. Outside of work, I’m a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and enjoy walking, roller skating, playing music, reading, and watching movies. I've been babysitting children since I was 14, when I started watching over family friends' children. When I was 15 I started working at Strawberry Canyon Explorer Camp where I worked for 8 years teaching children ages 4-10. At camp I worked with kids one on one as well as in large groups. I've also spent years volunteering in local elementary schools. I love teaching and hope to be an elementary school teacher in a few years. I've primarily worked with kids ages 4-7 but have experience with older as well. I love bringing them outside and teaching them sports, as well as helping them with that tough math problem.
