Hi there! I’m a warm, reliable caregiver with over 5 years of professional pediatric experience supporting children and families, along with many years of babysitting throughout college and beyond. My background in childhood development along with the many young children in my family have given me a strong understanding of children 6 months and beyond, along with how to support children’s emotional, social, and developmental needs at every stage. I believe in fostering play and curiosity while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. Some of the activities I love are playing games, pretend play, music, and playing outside! I take great pride in being a caregiver that families are able to trust and rely on. I’d love the opportunity to connect with your family and I look forward to chatting!

Hi, I’m Ali. I am a part time nanny with experience with kids of multiple ages. I love bonding with families and children to help them learn, play, and grow! I am a graduate student studying to become a child and family therapist (MFT) and am passionate about supporting families. I have reliable transportation and experience driving kids to and from school, activities, or appointments. I am very familiar with kids’ busy schedules! Some of my favorite activities include being outdoors, arts and crafts, games, music, dance, and rollerskating. I absolutely love to do creative projects with kids and provide an engaging environment. I’m also an animal lover and happy to provide pet care. I especially love cats! Other experience/specialties: LGBTQ+ families, families experiencing divorce, children in therapy, neurodivergent children. I am also trained as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for children with developmental/intellectual disabilities, and registered as a provider with East Bay Regional Center. I have current CPR/first aid certification.

Ali got along with my kids right away, with a calm but competent demeanor that put everyone at ease!

Hi, I’m Sal (they/them)! I am a queer 31 year old childcare worker living in the bay. I’ve been babysitting since I was 15 and since then I’ve been a nanny, daycare/preschool teacher/assistant/sub, camp counselor, afterschool program teacher, and climbing facilitator for birthday parties and field trips at my local gym. I face paint as a side gig, love to camp and be outside in general, rock climb, and hang out with my friends and my cat. Originally I went to school for fine arts and that comes across with arts and crafts when I’m with kiddos. I’ve made curriculum for art clubs at programs in the past and would happily do that if you have an art loving child as well. I prioritize outside time, creek explorations, and helping kids learn how to be safe in their bodies and minds. I just earned my assistant teacher certificate at Merrit Community Collage and am continuing to take more classes for child care there. A long term goal of mine is to become an occupational therapist who works with kids on managing challenging emotions and behaviors. I offer sliding scale rates for my work - please feel free to ask more if this is a need or simply interests you. I have ample experience caring for cats, minimal with dogs but am willing to learn, and less with others. Reptiles give me a bit of a fright, but with time and guidance, I feel confident I will can comfortabilty. I am open to light chores - sweeping, dishes, laundry - , meal prep, and organizational tasks with a potential for a higher rate for that time I am spent doing it on top of watching after your kiddos, depending on what I am being asked to do. I am CPR and first aid certified, a mandated reporter, have a car and am willing to drive -pending a conversation about what that needs to look like -, insured, and have a clean driving record.

Sal is fantastic!! Great communicator and so skilled with kids. Highly recommend.

Hello, my name is Kathryn! I'm a Mental Health Counselor at an elementary school in Oakland where I provide trauma-focused therapy. I completed my Master of Social Work at NYU in 2022, and prior to grad school, I was a kindergarten teacher for 7 years. I love exploring and learning with kids, and my teaching experience was focused on combining social and emotional wellness with project-based, exploratory learning. I am patient and love having fun with kids, but am also confident in setting clear boundaries and expectations that ensure safety and comfort are always the top priorities. I've worked extensively with children and adults with special needs as well, and am comfortable communicating in various ways to suit individual styles and abilities. I play the harp in my free time and am passionate about fostering creativity through music and art with young children. I also love being outdoors and led a nature club at school for a number of years, so I'm always looking for opportunities for kids to be scientists and learn from the world around them.

My name is Tristan and I am a Cal graduate and have worked closely with children in a classroom setting and as a babysitter and part-time nanny. I love developing a strong, trusting relationship with children. I am currently a part-time nanny for a 3-month old and am in charge of bottle feedings, contact naps, tummy time, and other age-appropriate enrichment. I was a part-time nanny for a 10 year old from October 2018 to May 2019, and for a 2 year old from August 2021 to September 2022, and two families of 3 (ages 4-9) in Berkeley in 2023 and 2024. I've previously worked at a Children's Discovery Museum as an educator, assisting a wide range of children in developing a deeper understanding of the arts and sciences. I have experience performing reading intervention and mentoring third- and fifth-grade students at Emerson Elementary in Berkeley. I pride myself on my reliability, kindness, understanding, and my ability to connect with children! I love promoting curiosity, encouraging self-expression, and role modeling positive interactions with others/the environment. I am committed to supporting your family and implementing practices that best meet your needs. I look forward to getting to know you and your family!

Tristan is amazing! She handled both our children with ease and always has a fun song or special game to keep them entertained and engaged. She also keeps the house spotless. We love working with her!
