Booked by 3 families in San Francisco, CA

From my experience working for SFUSD and an after-school program, it has equipped me with the necessary skills to transition to being a caregiver. I have worked with a range of 1-12 kids at a time in both a formal classroom and casual after-school programming. This diversity of environments has allowed me to adapt especially well to fast-paced environments where problems regularly arise, requiring quick thinking and problem-solving skills. A critical part of this is paying attention to the child and predicting what they need, whether it may be a new activity to do or socioemotional regulation. Working with kids in the classroom has also taught me about what it means to engage and develop working relationships with the kids you help. Engaging with a child about their interests and feelings allows them to feel heard, deepening the bond between you and that child; making even the most disagreeable kids more flexible in their thinking and more honest about how they are truly feeling. In doing so, we are modeling positive behaviors, teaching them how to treat and socialize with others as well as regulate their own emotions. Such lessons are vital as they mature and go out into the world.

June is great - communicative, kind, and calm with our two kiddos, who are high energy 2 and 5. She has helped us out a lot over our chaotic end of summer, and we are so grateful to her!

Hannah San Francisco
$30 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I'm Hannah. I grew up in Santa Rosa and moved to San Francisco in August of 2024. I have a bachelor's degree in environmental and ocean sciences from the University of San Diego and I recently started working as an office engineer in construction. I happily nannied part time for a family for the last two years while living here in San Francisco. Since taking on a new role in the office I can no longer meet their scheduling needs, though I still babysit for them occasionally and formed a very close bond with their girls. I love spending time with kids and I'm trying to make some extra money to save in addition to my office job. I'd love to take on occasional babysitting roles. Please don't hesitate to reach out to chat or with any questions :)

Annette San Francisco
$25 per hour for 1 child

⸻ Hello! I’m Annette — a retired biomedical executive, proud mom of two grown sons, and an active, hands-on grandmother who loves staying busy and helping others. I’m energetic, dependable, and looking for some part-time work to supplement my fixed income while doing something meaningful and enjoyable. My daugther-in-law is a trained daycare giver and gives me great tips when I’m watching my grandsons for extended days. I just completed the AHA First Aid & CPR AED training for adults and pediatrics. My professional background is in marketing communications and branding, and I hold a master’s degree in business. Throughout my career, I’ve had the pleasure of mentoring young professionals and leading teams. I also have experience in medical device sales and have owned my own businesses in public relations as well as clothing thrift and consignment. I adore children and dogs and enjoy helping with the daily routines that keep a household running smoothly — from organizing and scheduling to homework, art projects, music, sports, cooking, and light cleaning. I live locally, have a flexible schedule, and would love the opportunity to lend a hand wherever I’m needed. Warm regards, Annette
