I teach students with disabilities for more than 10 years. Before that I was a high school science teacher for more than 10 years. I'm a single mom looking for a side gig so I can afford a place for my daughter and me. She is currently at her dad's full time and I am renting a room for myself. I am hard working, has good work ethics, and loves kids.
I’m a responsible, energetic, and caring babysitter with experience working with children of all ages. I previously worked with Busy Bees Babysitting in Phoenix, Arizona, where I babysat part-time during the off-season while playing collegiate basketball at Grand Canyon University for three years. This experience helped me develop strong skills in childcare, safety, and keeping kids engaged in fun, age-appropriate activities. I recently moved to San Jose to finish my final year of basketball at San José State University, and my athletic background has strengthened my discipline, leadership, and time management skills. I genuinely enjoy working with kids, as a come from a big family, and creating a positive, safe, and fun environment for them. I’m patient, dependable, and great at building connections with children and families. I’m also happy to help with light household tasks, homework, and daily routines. I look forward to meeting your family!
“Sara is great! My daughter loves her!”
Hello! My name is Elizabeth, and I have been working with children and families for over 25 years in many different settings—as a babysitter, live-in nanny, tutor, after-school and summer program leader, scout camp staff, in-patient and out-patient mental health treatment provider, facilitating parenting classes, and as a therapist specializing in youth and families. I also grew up caring for my four younger brothers, as well as many nieces and nephews, so childcare has always been a natural part of my life. Alongside childcare, I have provided professional dog and cat sitting, cared for my own pets (including a bearded dragon!), and supported families with household tasks and cleaning. For example, I worked weekly for a family in Palo Alto for eight months, helping keep their home clean and welcoming. I especially enjoy organizing and home decor. With a background in social work and mental health, I strive to create a safe, affirming space for children and families, and I am experienced in supporting LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent individuals. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and a minor in Music, and I enjoy incorporating creativity, patience, and structure into the care I provide. Personally, I grew up in a small mountain town in Northern Utah, but have now called the Bay Area home for the past 15 years. Outside of work, I love rock climbing, reading, playing guitar and singing, art, tabletop games, and spending time at the beach. I’m also bilingual in English and conversational/intermediate-advanced Spanish. I’m a proud parent to two wonderful kids—an 18-year-old who lives in Utah and a 5-year-old who just started kindergarten. With my youngest now in school and spending part of the week with the other parent, I have more flexibility in my schedule to provide reliable care and support for other families. I bring not only professional experience but also the heart of a parent to the work I do. I look forward to meeting you! P.S. I have been certified many times over in the past for infant and child CPR and first aid, but am not currently up-to-date. I would be happy to re-certify if needed for the right fit.
Hi I’m Jordan Brill, I’m looking to work as a part time nanny of younger children. I have experience working with special needs and autistic children. I am very patient and good at redirection.
Hello, parents! My name is Sonah, and I am currently a full-time student majoring Health Information. Before moving to the United States last year, I lived in Vietnam, and had over three years caring for and tutoring children. During that time, I was recognized as a Star Tutor among more than 2,000 tutors at my previous company. When caring for children, I believe their safety always comes first. Beyond that, I believe the way we introduce the world to them is just as important. Children learn from the adults around them, so I am always mindful of what I say, how I act, and the values I teach. I strive to create a safe, positive, and caring environment where children can learn, grow, and feel supported. I am fluent in both English and Vietnamese, so a plus, if you'd like your child to practice or maintain their Vietnamese, I'd be happy to incorporate that into our time together in a fun and natural way. I would love the opportunity to care for your child and become someone your family can trust. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, and I look forward to meeting you!

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
