Hi! My name is Mariana, I’m an art student and childcare provider with 6+ years of experience currently offering backup care and occasional babysitting. Also open to pet sit! (I’m a dog owner and lover hehe). I’m a responsible, dedicated and experienced professional nanny with a background in art education - very creative and patient. I absolutely love working with kids and have been watching infants through toddlerhood and kids - including siblings and experience in a nanny share set up. My responsibilities have included driving to/ from school and activities, museum/ library/ parks visits, arts and crafts and help with school projects/ homework. Hello! I graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Child and Adolescent Development. I have my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, which adds to my knowledge of children. I currently work for a public school district where I work with children that have special needs. Prior to that, I was a teacher at a private school. I have worked with a variety of ages, but primarily with 3-4 year olds for 5 years. I have worked as a nanny for two children for 5 years, while also babysitting for many years before this. When babysitting, I primarily have worked with school aged children, K-6th grade. I have had some experience with infant children under the age of 1 for about four years. Hi, I'm Jennifer and I'm 43years old. I live in San Francisco, Ca. I have been taking care of children, with and without special needs, for over ten years now. I have over 32 units completed in child development, and work as a head teacher for Tinycare at Mission Bay Infants. I have extensive special needs experience! I have current Covid and boosters, CPR, First Aid, TB, DPT and Flu vaccine. I am experienced in food allergies and organic diets. I also know basic sign language, and have worked with families who use the sleep training method. I pride myself in providing engaging and stimulating activities instead of having children sit in front of a tv all day. I have worked as a live-in, live-out and on-call nanny. Some of my favorite activities to do with young children are singing, fingerplays, lots of reading (I love to read!), going on outings to parks, musuems, etc. For older children I love to incorporate activities that have an educational value too, like learning about history, science, etc in a fun and exciting way. I also do lots of art projects and music. I have quite a collection now, both from working in a school, different families and materials I have purchased. Children who I meet are always super excited to go through my "nanny bag" which I prepare for each family depending on the age of the children. Hello! Ive been working with children my entire working life. I began teaching swimming lessons to infants through pre-teens, babysitting infants-toddlers, and working as a high school mentor before going to college. I got a degree in Spanish literature and language in WA state (University of Puget Sound) and taught middle and high school in Andorra as a Fulbright fellow (borders Spain and France). After returning to the US, I went to Stanford to get my Masters in Education and worked with students for seven years across the Bay Area. I now work as a preschool/infant Montessori style educator/nanny, mentor, tutor, and educational consultant, in addition to pursuing my art in fusion dance and vocal performance. I love children, believe it is a life mission to help them feel understood and empowered, and have been described as quite the "Mary Poppins" advice, lullabies, and giant bag included :-) **Update: While I am currently looking for part-time and/or tutoring help, I am also available for occasional babysitting on the weekends/week nights!
