Booked by 11 families in Stanford, CA

Hi I’m Jhenae! I’m a college student available for one-time or part time work during July-August 2026! I absolutely love working with children! For the past 6 years, I have cared for infants, toddlers, and youth! From part-time babysitting positions, to working summer camps, and volunteer work with children! Families would describe me as caring, responsible, and very attentive. I always prioritize children’s needs while making sure they are having fun! (Away from the technology, of course!) In addition, I have a license and my own car! I am willing to safely drive your children upon request! I am also experienced in caring for pets so I’m willing to help in any way possible! Feel free to reach out to me with any questions!

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 17 families in Stanford, CA

Hi families! My name is Amber, and I’m a nurturing and energetic caregiver with a strong background in both childcare and healthcare. I’m currently a nursing student at the University of San Francisco, where I’m deepening my knowledge of child development, safety, and wellness—skills I bring into every babysitting experience. With over 6 years of experience in customer-facing roles and a background supervising children ages 5 months to 6 years old at The Bar Method, I’ve developed the ability to stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly, and create fun, engaging, and safe environments for kids of all ages. What sets me apart: CPR/First Aid knowledge through my nursing education (and working toward official certification) Experience with Autism, ADHD, and Dementia A warm, friendly, and creative personality Experience tutoring peers, which translates into helping with homework or schoolwork at home A reliable, organized, and equity-driven mindset: I value every child’s uniqueness and treat them with respect and kindness. Whether you’re looking for a dependable sitter for your child, a responsible helper for school-age children, or someone to step in last-minute with patience and care, I’d love to support your family’s needs when I’m not busy with school. Additionally, I offer household cleaning and pet services! Because of my school schedule, I’m looking for occasional care! Looking forward to connecting!

Amber was very kind and patient with my 3 year old daughter. She was actively engaged in playing and even brought some of her own things for them to do together.

San Jose
$27 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 47 families in Stanford, CA

Hi, there! My name is Anita. I am currently a full time high school art teacher in Palo Alto. My works hours are between 9 AM and 4:30 PM, but I’m happy to help out with child care and pet care during the evenings (after 5PM) and weekends. I love working with young folks and have taught elementary school kids and high schoolers for eleven years now. I have also worked at Camp Galileo as a Lead Instructor for over three years. My fondness for teaching started when I was in high school when I used to assist in teaching children how to dance and through my high school's child development program where we taught elementary school students physical education. Growing up, my mother ran a day care at our house and being a babysitter brings me back to when I used to help her out with the kids. Regarding pets, I've had pets my whole life and a dog (whom I raised from a pup until his passing) and cat of my own. I'm very comfortable with animals and find that both kids and animals warm up to me easily. My responsibilities can include arts and crafts, homework, tutoring, helping with meals, getting the kids ready for bed, reading to the kids, and playing. I'm happy to assist with simple cooking, cleaning, school or extra curricular pick up (if my schedule allows) and running errands. I have also been pet and housesitting for a few years, so if there’s a need for that, let me know! I hope to chat with you soon!

$35 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 50 families in Stanford, CA

Hi! My name is Sarah and I am 28 years old. I am originally from the Bay Area and currently work as a Registered Nurse. I have a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from University of San Francisco and have 5 years of bedside nursing experience. I have worked trauma, cardiac, neuro, ortho and in post-operative care nursing. I currently work in a Vascular Surgery Clinic. While my most recent work experience is with adults, my passion is working with kids. I began babysitting when I was 13 and have experience with newborns to teenagers. In addition to working for UrbanSitter, I also previously worked for Trusted, a Bay Area-based babysitting service that was acquired by Care.com. I have also worked as a part-time nanny. If needed, I more than happy to provide multiple references! Working as a babysitter affords me the opportunity to take a step away from the stress of nursing as well as be a resource for families. As a child care provider, I love providing activities to kids as well as being outdoors. I’m happy to take your kids to the zoo, the park or just out in the backyard. I also love doing art projects and making things from scratch (like ice cream in a bag for the older kids). Thank you for your consideration! I hope to meet you and your family soon!
