I have been working with children in various capacities for over 10 years. For 2 years, I worked as an actor on a traveling theatre group that performs shows on bullying prevention and other social issues at schools throughout the greater Seattle area, and then spent 2 years as the Education and Outreach Program Coordinator for that same theatre company. I now work as an Education Programs Specialist at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, where I develop museum programming for students and teachers. In terms of childcare, I have worked with dozens of families, ages ranging from 11 weeks to 13 years old, and I am comfortable and experienced working with all ages and up to three children at a time (or more if necessary). I have learned so much from little ones over the past years and being able to play a role in their growth and development is a great joy. I'm passionate about social-emotional learning and creating opportunities to grow in respect and kindness. I love cooking, crafts, and books!

Hey Parents! My name is Jessica and I was born and raised in Austin, TX. I graduated with a BA in Theater Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. I have been a babysitter/nanny off and on for the last 13 years. I have looked after newborns and children up to 14 years of age. I truly enjoy spending time with them and being apart of their development journeys. My responsibilities have included picking up/driving children, light child-related household duties, putting down for naps/bedtime (we love a nap routine!), cooking/preparing meals, feeding, helping with homework, reading, going out for walks, and of course general care and playtime! In my off time I have founded a nonprofit called Orísun Collective, and we host creative arts summer camps for kids in Nigeria. I would run the camp as well as teach the acting class. My hope is that all children will have the space and support to be their full selves and reach their full potential. I am a very goal-oriented person, and I know that I am capable of achieving every single thing I put my mind to. I have been hosting an event every 6 months for the last 10 years called Girls With Goals, where I bring a group of women together at my house and we talk about our goals, write them down, and keep each other accountable throughout the year. Hi! My name is Jenny and I have over 15 years experience in childcare. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago and worked in the children's department of a library for several years. I did storytime, crafts, and helped children with homework and research at the library. I also love painting and drawing and enjoy teaching children how to draw, instilling in them my passion for the arts. I'm a lifelong bookworm, love reading with children, and hope I encourage their own love of books. Books, art, and a great role model can enrich a child's life and watching a child's development is very rewarding. I have worked primarily as a nanny the last five years since moving to Los Angeles. The wonderful families and children I've worked with and grown close to has sustained me in LA. I'm lucky to have created a network of families I babysit for and to have a role in their children's lives. I recently combined my two passions by hosting a children’s web series focused on having a growth mindset called Big Life Journal Buddies. I am originally from from the East Coast and graduated summa cum laude from Temple University in 2015. In addition to over 10 years of babysitting, mentoring students, and leading sports camps, I have two years of experience as a coach in a top youth soccer program that focuses just as much on character development as it does soccer fundamentals. I have also nannied for a Beverly Hills family including an 8 and 12 year old for one school year. My responsibilities included picking up two brothers from school, taking them to activities, preparing their snacks and meals, helping with homework, and engaging them in play. I have experience as a private chef during covid as well as private deckhand/stew. I enjoy cooking. I loved having the opportunity to be a stay at home mom for many years to my daughter, who is now 19, and in college. I currently work part time as a marine surveyor on container ships and oil tankers. In my free time I love to go tidepooling, and I have a native wildflower project I've been working on by myself for several years in Laurel Canyon. I can make an art, craft or science project out of just about anything. I have a ton of silly songs I know by heart, and still love to play.
