Hi there! My name is Yesenia, and I’m so excited to offer child care this summer to support your family. With over 10 years of experience working with children from 6 months to 12 years old, I bring a warm heart, a creative mind, and a lot of energy to everything I do. I’ve worked as a babysitter, in daycares, after-school programs, and summer camps, and I’ve even performed in children’s shows at California’s Great America—so keeping kids smiling and engaged is second nature to me! I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science (Preparation for Teaching) from San Jose State University and a Master’s degree in Teaching from Santa Clara University. I’ve also taught in bilingual classrooms for students in TK through 6th grade. Education is a huge passion of mine, and I love helping children grow, explore, and learn in fun and meaningful ways. I am passionate about working with kids because they keep me young at heart! I’m constantly inspired by their natural curiosity, joy, and honesty. From DIY art projects to story time to nature scavenger hunts, I believe in keeping kids busy in ways that continue to spark curiosity and creativity. Through it all, I lead with patience, positivity, and consistency. I believe children learn best by example, and I aim to show them how to be kind, respectful, curious, and confident in themselves. I’m caring, dependable, communicative, and always ensure I create a safe, supportive space where kids can be themselves. Outside of work, I love arts and crafts, reading, hiking, beach days, and staying active—especially with my dog and bearded dragon by my side. If you’re looking for a sitter who is responsible, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about working with kids, I’d love to be a part of your family’s summer!
Hi, I’m Rhonda! If you’re looking for someone who truly loves being around kids—you’ve found her 😊 I’m a trusted, experienced caregiver with a fingerprint clearance and a clean driving record. I’m also the owner of Sensory Celebrations, a local kids entertainment company that creates themed activity tables for birthdays, school events, and community festivals. There’s a good chance your little ones may have already played at my tables at Campbell Park, Oktoberfest, Halloween events, or the Bunnies & Bonnets Parade event! I bring that same playful, engaging energy into every babysitting experience. I don’t just “watch” kids—I connect with them, play with them, and create fun, hands-on moments that keep them happy and engaged (and give parents peace of mind). I’m also a proud grandma to three AMAZING grandchildren (two borns in 2025 and one in 2023), and I care for them often. Being part of their lives is one of my greatest joys. In addition, I serve in the nursery and toddler classrooms at my church, so I’m very comfortable with infants, toddlers, and young children of all personalities. What you can expect when I’m with your children: • Warm, attentive, and patient care • Engaging play (not screens unless you prefer it) • Safe, reliable, and responsible supervision • A natural ability to connect with kids of all ages Whether you need a few hours to run errands, a date night, or overnight care, I would love to support your family. Looking forward to meeting you and your little ones! 💛 — Rhonda
Hi! I just relocated to San Jose after raising my family near Berkeley. I’ve been an RBT in schools for 4 years and have ample experience working with young friends on the autism spectrum. As the parent of two college-age kids I know how important date nights are for young parents; I’d love to help out so you can make that happen.
I have been caring for children for most of my life. As the second oldest of five siblings, responsibility came early to me. When I was just 10 years old, I began watching my three-year-old brother while my mother worked. From there, childcare became a natural and meaningful part of my life. As a teenager, I babysat two children every summer, beginning when they were 4 and 6 years old. Those years taught me consistency, patience, and how important it is to build trust with both children and parents. While in college, I worked as a live-in nanny for a family in Portland, Maine. The parents were opening a restaurant, so I provided full-time care for their 18-month-old daughter. My responsibilities included meal preparation, housekeeping, outings, and maintaining daily routines. When their second child was born, I cared for their six-month-old son alongside their almost four-year-old daughter. I remained with the family until the children were 4 and 7 years old. My role included cooking healthy meals, school pickups, park outings, bedtime routines, and occasionally morning routines. I believe children thrive when they are active and engaged, so I prioritized outdoor play whenever possible—trips to playgrounds, local parks for picnics, splash pads, petting zoos, and nature walks. On colder days, we visited the library, did arts and crafts projects, or attended local cafés with live music and child-friendly play areas. I aim to keep children curious, creative, and physically active while ensuring they feel safe and supported. Throughout college, I also volunteered at local shelters, watching children while parents needed to do what they needed to do while living in the shelter. Additionally, during the summers worked at a diabetes camp caring for kids aged 8-15 years old living with diabetes and enjoying two weeks away from home. Following college, I lived in Kerala, India where I taught English and political science to kids aged 3 to 14 years old. More recently, I babysat a 1½-year-old boy in Washington, DC, providing dependable evening care so his busy parents could enjoy occasional date nights. I am responsible, attentive, and deeply experienced with children of different ages. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy helping children grow, explore, and feel cared for. I am also CPR certified. I looked forward to meeting your little one(s) and supporting their growth and development.
