Hello - My name is Alexis. I have seven years of experience as a babysitter and nanny and have cared for children of all ages — from infants to preteens. I love to do arts and crafts, drawing, painting, and coloring with the kids. I also love board games, lego, hide and seek, and reading stories. I was a volunteer at a Waldorf summer camp for four years, where I worked with children in early childhood. Then I was a nanny for a wonderful family with two children who were seven and ten at the time. I worked at a Waldorf school as the Aftercare teacher and program director for almost two years. I was also a sub for the teachers and their assistants. I supervised children of all temperaments and ages as aftercare was offered to kindergarten through fifth grade. On a typical day I usually watched about 15+ children, while cleaning the yard, helping the older children with homework, coordinate with the parents and teachers, and getting the children signed out for the day. I have two associates degrees from Pierce College. I have a degree in Elementary Teacher Education and a degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. I currently attend CSUN, where I am getting my teaching credential and bachelors in Liberal Studies. I genuinely love working with kids and plan on becoming an elementary teacher. Specifically, I would like to teach kindergarten or first grade. I am patient, calm, and caring. I am CPR, First Aid, and AED certified. Hello, Attention: I don't work with sick kids or recovering kids from cold, flu and so on. Thank you for understanding! Now back to me: I'm 37 years old. Have experience babysitting for 10 years on this website. I have a 6 year old and a 10 year old kids myself. Primarily looking to work for someone who would want to go on a date, to work or so on ( 4-12 hours). Anywhere from occasional to a few times a week jobs. Tutoring/Homeschooling for grades 3rd and under available for 15$ an hour at my place. Have experience from homeschooling my son since he was 2.5 years old and school affiliated homeschooling since March of 2020. Plus was totally homeschooled for 1st grade. Overnight/Daycare, closed days care is also provided. if you can bring your kid over to my place rate is 15$/hour per kid. 18$ for two etc. Have a separate room with 2 twin mattresses and also have pack and play if needed for younger ones. For older kids 3 and up I usually bring activities like a coloring book with markers , activity books, stickers or a small art project to do ( beads, mosaics) Ok with driving to your place or you can drop the kid off at mine either way is fine depends on the time of day. At our place we have back yard, pool ( gated and only operational during summer time) , toys, building blocks, magnet-tiles, marbles maze, duplos, puzzles, painting, beads, art table, and a park walking distance away it’s a walkway from our house so no roads need to be crossed ( if you are ok with me taking kids to the park). For babies we also have pack and play, baby safe toys. So if you want to drop a baby off here just bring diapers, bottles, formula/breast milk and wipes as some kids are sensitive to different wipes. Hello! I grew up in the Chicagoland area, but in 2015 I made the big move west to Los Angeles!
