Hi! I’ve worked with over 40 families, including several long-term (over a year with some). I provide reliable, nurturing childcare and can assist with meal prep and light housekeeping when combined with child care (for an additional fee). I’m CPR/First Aid certified and happy to help with homework support. I’m currently looking for a long-term, part-time position with a great family. Previously, I lived in Colombia for 2 years, where I taught kindergarten through 2nd grade, and also led extracurricular classes for middle school students. Was teaching English for kids in some villages in Bali. I also worked as a personal assistant, so I’m comfortable adapting to different routines and family dynamics. I speak English, Indonesian, and Spanish, and I love animals so dogs and cats are always welcome. In my free time, I’m very active and love trying new sports , currently doing horseback riding and crossfit and I’ve also enjoyed archery, bouldering, and other adventurous activities.

Booked by 3 families in Washington, DC

Hi! My name is Paula, and I have nearly 8 years of childcare experience, caring for children from newborns and infants to school-aged children and teenagers. I especially love working with babies and young children. I have experience with early stimulation and age-appropriate activities that support motor, cognitive, and language development. I enjoy teaching through play, including letters, numbers, colors, books, sensory activities, English and Spanish. I also have experience with potty training. I currently work full-time with a wonderful family Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. I have cared for their daughter since she was 5 months old, and she is now 2 years and 5 months old. I also occasionally care for another little girl whom I have known since she was 6 months old and is now 4. I will soon begin a bachelor’s degree related to Early Childhood Development, a field that connects directly with what I love doing. I’m looking for additional babysitting opportunities outside my regular work hours, especially evenings and weekends. I’m open to occasional or consistent care if it’s a good fit for both of us. I’m responsible, patient, caring, reliable, and also a big animal lover, especially dogs. Please feel free to message me!

Paula is amazing with my 18 month year old. She started working with us when she was 6 months and has been invaluable since. She has helped my daughter crawling and then walking. She is great handling my daughter and German Shepard. She is soo gentle and has soo much patience. keeps her active at all times and constantly challenging her to thrive. She takes her to the library all the time and likes to read. She give me peace of mind and I know when I have to go to work she will be in safe hands.

I am dedicated and dependable with 10years experience as a baby sitter. Am flexible and adaptable with extensive knowledge of childcare and development. Am devoted to helping children in what they have a passion for. I love to help out in school work, light meal preparation and generally take care of the kids. Am fun, responsible and loving and at the same time know how to set boundaries and maintain decorum in the home at all times. However and unfortunately, I am not animal friendly

She was wonderful. We came back to kids sleeping peacefully and a living room cleaned up from all toys and dinner. We would highly recommend her to anyone!

Booked by 35 families in Washington, DC

Hi parents! My name is Shirley, I’m 24 years old and currently working as a Registered Nurse in D.C! I babysat all throughout nursing school and hope to continue to occasionally do so. When it comes to experience I have cared for infants as young as 1 month old to middle school aged children. I have also cared for multiple kids at one time including multiple infants and toddlers at a time. In high school I volunteered at a recreation center for 5 months working with 4-5th graders in an after school program where I helped with homework and setting up activities. I have taken some child development classes and am aware of the appropriate milestones, activities and communication needed for kids of different age groups. I speak fluent Spanish and am also willing to teach your kids as well if that is something you would be interested in! I strive to always provide a positive and memorable caring experience for you and your children and would be more than happy to answer any other questions or concerns you may have for me! *CPR/BLS certified* *All bookings with me must be made through urbansitter due to safety concerns*

Shirley watched our son for a date night. She was on time, courteous and flexible with her time. Our son was already asleep, so not much to say on that front but I would hire her to watch him in the future.

Hello, my name is Michelle and I’ve taken care of kids since the end of my high school year. What I most like about babysitting is the environment the child makes by being creative and learning from each thing they do and it’s basically never a dull moment. My motive is to help out parents and give them a fresh start each day when coming back home from work. I also have experience with newborns. I am a recent college graduate and soon to transferring to University to get my bachelors degree.
