Hi there, my name is Becca! I am a registered nurse and a recent graduate of North Park University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing l. I have experience with newborns to preteens. I have worked in a nursery for the past 9 years and through this experience I have learned to take on a very patient, kind, calm, adaptable, creative nature to connect with children. I enjoy implementing milestone activities with young children along with reading books, and doing arts and crafts during our time. In my own free time I love to bake, hike, read, and travel. I also am a lover of animals! I am newer to UrbanSitter and I would greatly appreciate an opportunity! I'm excited to have the opportunity to work with your family and to get to know your children! Best- Becca (she/her) Provided Upon Request- Proof of CPR/BLS certification, Covid-19 Vaccination, & References/Resume
“Hands down best sitter! Becca was on time and immediately jumped in getting to know our kids. She had no problem navigating bedtime and tidied up. We appreciated her flexibility and communication but most impressive, she really engaged our kiddos right when she walked through the door.”

Back on US and ready to hang! I approach care with the intent of meeting kids and families where they are. To me, this means understanding and engaging with a person based on their current situation, needs, abilities, or emotional state. By doing so, I develop relationships with care, emotional consideration, trust, and humor. I love discovering what excites kids and engaging with them through activities that spark their interests. This might include playing their favorite games (or inventing new ones), reading books, doing art projects, playing outside, going on walks, and more. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children, and that enthusiasm shines through in my interactions. Outside of professional care work, I am an arts administrator with a focus on dance and performance. I have produced dance festivals, performance series, and fundraising events. Recently, I got into the puppet biz—I co-directed my first puppetry piece in 2024 and am currently developing a puppet festival for summer 2025. I am also a collective member and coordinator with the Chicago Childcare Collective (ChiChiCo)—a group of volunteers who support the participation of parents, especially mothers, in racial and economic justice work. I am willing to explore some of the new services, such as pet care, US have added since my hiatus. I grew up with Great Danes and love critters! Policies & Guidelines Cancellations 1. Hi families! ☀️ I’m Edna, an experienced nanny/babysitter with a background in early childhood development (Malcolm X College) and several years working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. I love keeping kids engaged with outdoor play, crafts, reading, and fun hands-on activities. I’m reliable, patient, and comfortable driving kids to activities, helping with routines, and supporting busy families however I can. If you’re looking for summer support or part-time care, I’d love to connect!
“Edna has been serving as our two-year-old daughter's regular part-time nanny for the past six months or so, and she's been an absolute joy. She is not only teaching my kiddo Spanish, but she keeps her engaged in arts and crafts activities and works with her on good habits like picking up her toys. She is very sensitive and in tune with our daughter's emotions, and every morning my daughter races to the door in excitement to see her. She is a true natural with children, and she is responsive and communicative with my husband and me.”
Hi, My name is Aryana. I am a current law student in my first year at The University of Illinois -Chicago school of law right downtown. I currently live in Hermosa which is a little neighborhood near logan square. I am the second oldest of 5 and have a small passion for teaching children (I was a substitute teacher in my last year of undergrad). I would love to spend a few hours a week babysitting to spend more time with kids but also to gain a little more income while in law school so I am not solely relying on student loans. Looking for something more occasional/ flexible so that I still have time to do homework. I am a very active person, I love playing games (video games, board games, interactive activities like blocks, barbies, and cars) with children, I enjoy reading bedtime stories and I can be firm so making sure your child is in bed on time will be no problem at all. I respect the parent's wishes at all times and make sure to never cross any boundaries. I believe it is important for the child to feel safe with me and most importantly for the parents to trust me, so like my mom says whatever she says goes, so I hold the parents to that same standard. It would be an honor to meet your family and possibly look after your child for the time being. I look forward to hopefully hearing from you. Best, Aryana
