Hi, My name is Aryana. I am a current law student in my first year at The University of Illinois -Chicago school of law right downtown. I currently live in Hermosa which is a little neighborhood near logan square. I am the second oldest of 5 and have a small passion for teaching children (I was a substitute teacher in my last year of undergrad). I would love to spend a few hours a week babysitting to spend more time with kids but also to gain a little more income while in law school so I am not solely relying on student loans. Looking for something more occasional/ flexible so that I still have time to do homework. I am a very active person, I love playing games (video games, board games, interactive activities like blocks, barbies, and cars) with children, I enjoy reading bedtime stories and I can be firm so making sure your child is in bed on time will be no problem at all. I respect the parent's wishes at all times and make sure to never cross any boundaries. I believe it is important for the child to feel safe with me and most importantly for the parents to trust me, so like my mom says whatever she says goes, so I hold the parents to that same standard. I enjoy working with kids, not only taking good care of them but also expending quality time with time. I like to include activities and games that not only entertain the little ones but also help with their cognitive and motor stimulation. I have experience with toddlers and also can take care of younger babies. I can provide help with house duties.

I am from the west side of Chicago and I have been taking care of children since I was a young teenager. I have worked with a company for a little over 2 years, working with kids who attend school. I can help with chores around the household, homework, or any other tasks that will create a comfortable space. I own a dog and know why or how a task involving a dog will be handled. If I have questions I communicate well with the guardians and able to figure out the situation.

Growing up my grandma owned a daycare and I would help her take care of kids and plan arts and crafts time for them. I also have recent experience over the past 2 summers of working at a stay away camp looking over multiple different age groups of kids over the age of 6 full time. After my first summer I was promoted to leader of my cabin group and have learned to keep things together, better my communication, and still keep kids happy! Pets wise, I have 3 cats and a dog so I know how to manage!

I am currently pursuing a masters in occupational therapy at DePaul University and have a passion for helping children. Despite being in grad school, I’m a child at heart, enjoy watching kid movies/cartoons, playing outside, painting, and board games. I have experience with younger siblings, neurodivergent kids, and usually babysit ages 1-12, but am looking forward to gaining more experience across all ages!
