Hi! I’m Princess, a recent empty nester who recently relocated to the area with my husband for his career. As I settle into my new community, I’m excited to offer childcare support to local families while continuing something I’ve always loved—nurturing, caring for, and spending time with children. While I don’t have an extensive professional nanny or babysitting background, I do have something equally valuable: years of hands-on parenting experience. I’m a mom of four, ranging in age from 12 to 30, so I’ve experienced just about every stage of childhood! My youngest is on the autism spectrum, which has also given me a personal understanding of the patience, flexibility, and extra care that children with different needs may require. I currently work remotely in a full-time position with East Coast hours. I’m typically finished with work around 2:00 PM, which gives me plenty of availability for afternoon, evening, and weekend care. I’m also open to caring for younger children during the day, depending on the schedule and needs of the family. My goal is to be a flexible resource for families who may not fit into the traditional childcare schedule—whether you work irregular hours, need coverage outside of typical daycare hours, have an appointment or event, want a few hours to yourself, are planning a date night, or simply need an occasional overnight break. I’m also happy to lend a hand with the things that can make a busy household run a little smoother, including light meal or dinner prep, kitchen cleanup, and laundry. Most importantly, I want families to feel comfortable knowing their children are with someone who is dependable, patient, nurturing, and genuinely enjoys being around kids. I love Children!!! I have extensive experience with all ages from newborn infants, babies, toddlers young children through junior high age in high school. I am experienced watching groups of kids, i’ve watched up to 8 if their ages are spread out, and they play well together, some same age - wedding and events! I love the outdoors - stroller walks, bike rides, park playgrounds, kids museum, beach swim Indoors age-appropriate > blocks, build train set, books, hide and seek, sherades, board games, puzzles, card games, dance party, crafts. Drive older kids to and from gymnastics swim team, ski team and dryland training, etc. I raised my own kids - happy healthy successful adults. CPR 1st Aid and Infant CPR certifications I also have a background check through TDRPD with California. Holiday rates Travel fees for anything outside of a 30 minute commute from Truckee. I raised two wonderful humans to adulthood, and have been teaching high school English for 15 years while earning numerous awards and commendations. I also come trained as a first responder through 15 years of experience with Search and Rescue which includes certification as EMR (including First Aid, CPR, and AED for infants through adults) as well as numerous awards and commendations. I volunteered for 10 years in the youth program at my church (Calvary Chapel, Reno/Sparks), worked as the lead teacher of the school-age summer program at Little Knights and Maidens, led the youth program at my local library for many years, and led my own children through myriad sports and activities (soccer, dance, 4H, Scouts, etc). As my own children are recently off to college, I find myself with more time on my hands, and I would love to serve my community while making some extra tuition money for my own kids.
