- I have a 4 hour minimum and I ask for a car home after 10pm for safety. Thanks! Hi! I am an actress/singer/photographer/web designer who adores kids! (and pets!) Originally from Kansas City, I have been living in NYC for 18 years. I graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Webster Conservatory of Theatre Arts in St. Louis, MO. Not only do I love spending time with kids - I also love performing for them. I have toured the country performing in the Dr. Seuss musical SEUSSICAL and I have also performed with Disney Cruise Line playing Mary Poppins, Mrs. Potts, The Fairy Godmother and more! I began babysitting when my little brother was born (I was 11) and I have been babysitting ever since! I adore kids and their outlook on life. They bring me so much joy. I have worked with newborns, teens and every age in between. I audition a lot during week days so nights and weekends are best for me. (I do not mind working really late nights!) I look forward to meeting you and your family!
“Mallory was wonderful with our 9 month old son!! She was great at communicating and made my husband and I feel fully at ease being away from him for the night. We highly recommend her!!”
Hi! I'm Isabelle, am 29 years old and live in NYC. I have an AA in Art and a BA in Politics. I work as a case manager/community organizer at a food pantry on the UES. I used to babysit during college and always enjoyed it which is why I still occasionally enjoy picking up some gigs here or there :) I grew up in Germany with an American mother, a German father, and am the oldest of 4 siblings. I'm fluent in both German and English and have worked with bilingual kids in both a nanny and teaching environment. After graduating from HS in Germany and professionally working in the performing arts growing up, I was interested in working socially with families and kids who were less fortunate/had special needs. In the summer of 2015, I started an art+living project in Germany with kids and families who had fled their countries. In 2016, I became part of a therapeutic horse farm that focused on working with kids with special needs. I was the outdoor teacher and leader of an inclusive forest group consisting of 5-7 children aged 4-10 years old. Upon moving to the USA in 2017, I worked as a teacher at the Seattle Waldorf School and absolutely ❤️ it. In the summer of 2022, I worked with kids in Ukraine+Poland, primarily teaching or working with mothers and babies. I've been working with runaway homeless youth at places such as The Door and The Ali Forney Center for the past several years. Working with kids has always brought me joy and kept me grounded during hectic times. I nannied during undergrad and, while I have experience with children of all age ranges, I have primarily worked with infants and babies during their first year of life. I have experience with night-nannying, sleep training, feeding, and multiples. For those of you with older kids, bedtime routine is no problem either as I have had many longer term after-school gigs as well. I am confident in navigating the city responsibly, including school pick-up, and use of public transit. As a nanny, I'd describe myself as relaxed, punctual, reliable, flexible, confident, reasonable, communicative, consistent and dedicated. I very much enjoy working with families of different backgrounds, and I am absolutely LGBTQ+ family-friendly, being part of one myself. I can provide references and am happy to answer any further questions. I'm vaccinated and CPR trained. ⭐️ When I'm not nannying, I am playing soccer, going for a run, cheering on the WNBA+ NWSL, going out with friends or staying in with my books.
“Isabelle was great. On time, asked thoughtful questions and kept us updated on how our girl was doing. ”
*****Please note: I am immunocompromised and have an autoimmune disease so I cannot watch sick children and must limit time outside in extremely hot weather. Hi! I'm Ali. I’m originally from Seattle and moved to New York in 2015 to study acting. I joined UrbanSitter during college and have been using it as my day job ever since. I have 18 years of childcare experience, ranging from date nights and private nannying to daycare and summer camps. Over the last four years I have began working in arts education as a teaching artist and youth theater director. I’m the 2nd oldest of 10 so I’ve been around young kids my entire life and am used to watching multiple kids at once. Due to being CPR and First Aid certified since I was 12, I’ve gained years of experience watching kids with varying disabilities and medical conditions, and am very familiar with working with children who are autistic, have epilepsy, or have life threatening food allergies. My go to activities are coloring, board games, going to the park, reading, movies, and arts and crafts. Outside of childcare, I am an actor, writer, and run an indie theater/production company. I’ve spent the pandemic studying trauma informed, consent based rehearsal spaces and mental health first aid. Both of these skills have been easily transferable to my childcare work. I have experience teaching at after school programs using the Montessori Method and have been working more as a teaching artist lately, doing theater and improv with kids. Cancellation policy: cancellation less than 24 hours my policy is full payment. If it’s within 72 hours, it’s half the agreed payment, and more than 72 there isn’t a fee. If you come home more than 15 minutes late with no communication I reserve the right to charge a late fee on top of that extra time. If you come home early I still charge for the full time booked since I had to block that time out in my calendar, unless we’ve agreed on it beforehand.
I grew up in a small town in Missouri and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia. I graduated with a degree in Theatre. I am the oldest in my family and took care of my younger brothers, as well as younger cousins, growing up. From age 13 through high school, I babysat for a local family who had six kids all between the ages of 7 and newborn. I taught dance through high school and my first two years of college. I taught 3-5 year olds as well as pre-teens and teenagers. I am happy to help with homework and projects or anything else they may need!
“MK was so lovely and kind. She arrived on time, the kids really enjoyed playing with her and she went above and beyond by even tidying up a bit. Great babysitter, would absolutely hire again!”
Hi, I’m Lucia! Brooklyn has been my home for over a decade, though I’m originally from California. As the eldest of three and the first grandchild among 30 cousins, I’ve been caring for children of all ages for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of looking after wonderful kids, ages 1.5–16, and many families have told me I became their child’s favorite sitter—the highest compliment I could hope for! I love getting to know each child’s unique personality and tailoring activities to what excites them most—whether that’s baking cookies, arts & crafts, reading stories, or spending time outdoors. My focus is always to keep little ones safe, happy, and engaged. Families describe me as punctual, kind, patient, fun, and fully present. Please feel free to check my references—they’re filled with kind words from families I’ve had the privilege to work with. I would be honored to care for your child and create a nurturing, playful space where they can thrive. I look forward to connecting! Warmly, Lucia
“Lucia was awesome! Super sweet and punctual. We will hire her again!”

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
