I have over 5 years of experience in preschool, after school settings with children varying from 2 to 17 years old. In home settings, I have provided childcare for more than 30 families with various needs from the ages of 9 months to 10 years old. Responsibilities included gentle wake ups or lengthy bedtime routines, preparing meals, travels to and from school or extra curricular activities, and more! I am also more than happy to assist with household chores and pet care! I have lived with and cared for both cats and dogs.

I have over 10 years of combined child work experience, as well as petsitting of all kinds of animals. I was a regular babysitter during middle & high school, with kids ranging from a few months old to 12 years old. My college & post grad experience with children includes substitute teaching, summer camp counseling, and more. I am comfortable with children of all ages and get along with them excellently. I love to take the time to truly get to know the children and take interest in their passions. Additionally, I am comfortable picking children up from/dropping off at events or school, running errands, taking them exploring, cooking dinner, cleaning, and more. I began working with children initially in 2011. I started as an assistant to a Taekwondo sensei (Now known as Johnny Karate on Court Street) when I was a junior black belt. From 2[removed] I worked in Kids Orbit After School Program based in Brooklyn New York, and their summer program Park Slope Day Camp where I worked for 3 summers (2 as a supervisor). Within those 3 years with Kids Orbit/PSDC, I was a Taekwondo Specialist, worked their after school program as a counselor, and worked in public elementary schools as a recess employee. During this timeframe I graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelors degree where I majored in psychology and Children and Youth Studies (3.94 GPA). I began babysitting for 1 family exclusively for 4 years from approximately 2014-2018 in Carroll Gardens. I worked with a 7 year old girl and 4 year old boy until they turned 11 and 8 respectively. In 2018, I had to leave that babysitting opportunity as I began working with the Administration for Children Services as a Child Protective Specialist (CPS) and their hours were demanding. I worked there until 2022. I have not worked with any children since 2022, but am now a State employee and I have over 11 years experience in the field. I am looking to pick up some part time hours, or 1 family I can work with consistently.
