As a nanny, I support the family in tending to the children's basic needs and engage them in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development. I like working with kids to alleviate pressures from parents & give them peace of mind as I help their children learn / reach milestones while ensuring they are safe. Hii! I am Helia, and I am a student at Pratt Institute. I love children, and growing up I helped out a lot with taking care of family friends' kids, which included watching over them and playing and crafting with them. I also have a lot of experience working at children's language classes as a teacher's assistant. I have worked for both summer camps and weekly few-hour classes. These jobs mainly include assisting with outdoor activities, feeding the children, and making sure they are all safe throughout the day. The ages of the children usually vary between 6 and 14. I also have some experience volunteering at a kindergarten for a summer, where I had similar tasks to the language classes, except these children were between the ages of 3 and 6. I offer pet care as well, which I have a lot of experience in due to growing up as a pet owner myself. I have a cat and a dog, so I am comfortable with both. I am also fluent in both Hungarian and Farsi, so I am comfortable working with those languages. I also speak elementary German, Korean and Japanese.
