Hi- I’m Michaela. I’m 29. I’ve been working with kids since I was 16, and over the years, I’ve had the chance to work with children and teens ages 3 to 19 in all kinds of settings. I’ve worked as a teacher, in early intervention, in elementary schools, and as a school social worker, including with autistic children. No matter the role, my focus has always been on creating a supportive and engaging environment where kids feel safe, understood, and encouraged to grow. Right now, I’m pursuing my Doctorate in Social Work at LIU because I want to deepen my understanding of child and family well-being. I do this work because I love it—helping kids thrive is incredibly important to me, and I bring patience, experience, and a genuine passion for working with children to everything I do.
Hi families! My name is Adelina, and I’m majoring in Early Childhood Education because I love working with children. I enjoy helping kids learn, grow, and feel confident. My studies have taught me how to support children in a patient, positive, and caring way. I have experience caring for children and creating fun activities like arts and crafts, reading, and outdoor play. I can also help with homework and early learning skills. I’m responsible, calm, and dependable, and I always make sure children feel safe and supported. I’m also comfortable helping with light cleaning, simple meal prep, and organizing. I come from a very family oriented background, so I understand how important trust and communication are. I would love to help care for your family!
I have a lifetime of experience working with children. I’ve been babysitting regularly since I was old enough, have worked as a full-time nanny, and have extensive understanding of childcare and learning through my mother, who runs a preschool in Connecticut. I’ve worked at her school directly and have also held several long-term babysitting and nannying positions, with kids ranging from infants through 12-year-olds. I’m also a freelance designer, so my schedule is flexible! I’m high-energy, ebullient, and genuinely love to play—why shouldn’t it be fun for both of us? I’m especially interested in activities that spark kids’ curiosity while helping them build skills and a deeper understanding of the world. I’m very hands-on and love to craft, make things, and get immersed alongside kids. I went to film school and enjoy doing creative projects such as making short movies together, which can be a great way to combine storytelling, collaboration, and play. I’m also comfortable preparing meals and snacks, and enjoy putting together food that works for kids and their routines. I had wonderful babysitters growing up, and really can’t overstate how much I value the time I spent with them! I also spent part of my childhood in the city, and know how rich and engaging it can be for a developing person with the right kind of guidance. I was raised around Reggio Emilia principles (my mom is Bank Street–educated, and I went to a Reggio school myself), and those ideas have deeply shaped how I think about children, learning, and play. I aim to be someone kids feel excited to spend time with and parents feel completely confident trusting—curious, attentive, and genuinely invested in making each day engaging, supportive, and fun. I’m new to this site, but have some fantastic references should you like to speak to someone! Don’t hesitate to reach out, thanks so much :-)
Hello my name is Erica. I work part time at preschool and I’m also a graduate student in an early childhood education program. I strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop. I am looking for extra baby sitting opportunities on weeknights and weekends. I love being able to motivate and teach children. Some of my favorite activities to do with them are reading, building, drawing sensory play, singing and dancing.
“Erica was great, reliable and very accommodating when we wanted to stay out later than planned. Our daughter enjoyed her night with Erica.”
Hi there! My name is Madison and I’m a friendly, caring, and patient tutor and babysitter who loves helping kids learn and grow. I work with students in grades 4-7, offering personalized support in reading and math both in-person and online. Whether we’re tackling homework, doing a creative activity, or just spending time together, I focus on keeping things fun, engaging, and encouraging. I’m big on building trust and connection so kids feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn. Families describe me as empathetic, reliable, and great with kids, someone who brings both warmth and structure to every interaction.
“absolutely outstanding ”
