Hi! My name is Sofia, and I recently graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science and Biology. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Human Nutrition at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, with plans to attend medical school in the next two years. I have a strong passion for women’s health and preventative medicine, and I truly enjoy caring for and supporting others. Beyond academics, I’ve grown up in a large family surrounded by children, which made babysitting second nature to me. I have years of babysitting experience throughout high school and college, and nothing brings me more joy than spending time with kids and supporting them through their most important developmental years. I am CPR certified, trained in emergency healthcare, and fluent in Spanish as a dual citizen of Spain. Hi! My name is Linsey and I’m currently 21 years old! I moved to NYC from Los Angeles at the beginning of August, and I’m super excited to be here! I’ve been babysitting a lot more consistently after graduating high school to become more financially independent, and since then have made many incredible relationships with children I’ve sat for! I’ve been babysitting since 13 or 14 years old helping out my older sister take care of her two children. I cultivated a love for taking care of children and started to continue doing it outside of my family with family friends. I have taken care of ages 6 months to pre-teens. My goal with children is to just have fun and be creative, and encourage them to be themselves—I have a gentle but assertive approach with kids but very willing to adapt to your preferred approach! My responsibilities I’ve taken on have been getting a child ready for school, driving kids, taking them to their afterschool activities, feeding them dinner, taking them to the park/swimming pool etc, organizing their rooms, among other things. I love cats and dogs so pets aren’t an issue at all, they’re welcomed! I’ve had cats and dogs my whole life—especially cats—and I absolutely adore them. I have lots of experience changing a litter box, feeding pets, taking them for walks, playing with them, etc. Also certified in CPR!

Hi! I'm a nurse who's currently looking for intermittent baby-sitting for date nights, errands, emergencies, etc. I've been a NICU nurse for 4 years and prior to that was a full time nanny for 5 years. I also babysat throughout most of middle school, high school, and parts of college. Most of my recent experience is from newborn to three years of age, but I do have experience with older children as well. I love infants and toddlers because they have such wonder and awe for the world around them and it's a special experience to watch and engage with their development and growth. I'm gentle, engaging, empathetic, and sympathetic in my care and avoid screen time when with the children. I love taking children to parks, museums, play dates, etc., but also just as happy to play games and read stories at home. I won't be able to have regularly scheduled gigs as my work schedule changes week by week, but would love to find a family or families to develop a longer term baby-sitting relationship with, as I feel continuity is better for both the children and the carers.
