Hi- My name is Leslie and I’m currently a part time childcare provider and student at Hunter College. I have been caring for children since I was 12 years old and absolutely love it, I am easy going and energetic. Those early interactions with kids is what led me to my career path of studying Early Childhood Education and becoming a teacher. In past and present years my responsibilities have been everything from playing with kids, making meals/snacks, diaper changing, taking to various activities, reading to them, helping with homework, light tidying up, school pick ups and a host of other duties. I have worked with all ages ranging from newborns to pre teens and can also offer numerous references on site if that is something that would make any family feel more at ease. My experience with the elderly/seniors is associated with the care of both my grandparents. I have assisted with giving medications, helping in daily hygiene care, cleaning and making beds, cooking/food prep, taking to appointments and just generally being a friendly ear and companion to help brave the long hours in the day. Hello! My name is Stephanni and I have been babysitting/working in daycare centers for over a decade, beginning at my church nursery when I turned 14. I worked there for two years, taking care of children from 3 months-12 years old. When I turned 16, I began working at the daycare center at Lifetime Fitness (a gym in Texas) until I graduated high school. In college, I nannied for 3 children ages 11-15, and drove them to and from their after school activities. I moved to NY from Texas 10 years ago and have no plans to move anywhere else! Hello, I'm Gina and I’m so excited to work with you! I’m a graduate of NYU where I received my Masters of Music in Vocal Performance (musical theatre). I’ve received in person guided and hands on training/instruction and certification in both adult and infant First Aid and CPR. I’m the middle child of three children, and one of 22 grandchildren in my family so I am very accustomed to being surrounded by young children running around! My mother has worked as an early childhood educator/administrator my entire life. Many of the tactics she utilized in her classroom were the same ones she used raising my siblings and I. I’ve learned much of what I use in childcare from her, including helping the young ones with their coursework!
