Hello Parents! Thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Amanda! I am a part time college student in my third year, studying animal science. As a New York Native I know how to navigate through the MTA system and the neighborhoods of each borough. I am CPR/First Aid Certified. I am currently available for part time work, occasional care, one time jobs, date nights, and holidays. One of my passions is caring for children, and animals. I have over 10 years of babysitter/nanny experience with children of all ages. Although, I’m pursing a degree in animal science, caring for children is something I’ll always continue to do. I love getting to know children, watching them grow, and supporting their important milestones. Along with my childcare experience, I have 9 years of experience working as a pet sitter. My dream is to open a pet care, and babysitting company. Why not both! I have been caring for children since the age of 12. I started babysitting my younger brother at a young age, as I grew older I transitioned into caring for my younger cousins, and working as a babysitter/nanny. In addition, I have experience caring for children with ADHD, ADD, & Anxiety. In the early summer of 2019 I worked for Camp Shiloh as a Camp Counselor in Training. I was a fellow camper myself there for several years, and I currently am a mentor under their youth program Hi-Def. A fun fact about me, I love Harry Potter, and comic books. Some of the fun things I love to do with children are making art, building blocks, engaging in activities around the city, read books, dancing, baking, playing board games, going to parks, sports, playing with toys & more. In my free time I like to swim, skateboard, listen to music, learn new things, write, and ground myself in nature. Children love me as their babysitter because I’m empathetic, open minded, committed, and pretty funny 😊 Booking Policies: - Due to safety reasons, after 10:30 pm I request a Uber/Lyft home - 3 hours minimum booking - In the event you come home early, I still require full payment. - If the job is cancelled within 48 hours, I require 50% of payment as a cancellation fee. Your child’s safety is my upmost importance, and of course having fun. I hope you as well as your loved ones are doing well, and staying safe during this transitional time. I look forward to hearing from you. References can be provided.
Hello, my name is Iva; I am a 25-year-old NYU student (History/Econ Major), born in Zagreb, Croatia, and my favorite color is blue. I have been babysitting for the past three years, not including taking care of my sister, who is 10 years my junior. I have extensive experience with boys and girls ages 4 and up, and am competent with after school pickups and transport to activities, homework help, cooking, light housekeeping, and house sitting. Areas of homework help I am most comfortable with are History and English. I am currently looking for part-time, after-school work; I am flexible with travel, hourly rates, and date-night babysitting.
“Very friendly, kids liked her, will definitely have her back!”
Hi, my name is Bahia (pronounced ba-ya) and I’m a film major at Pratt Institute! I’m originally from Oakland, California and moved to New York to pursue my education! I am offering child care. I am CPR certified. I have EMSA Health and Safety certification (requirement for working at a school/daycare in CA). I also have gone through the process of having a daycare license in CA, it is not currently active as I now live in NYC! Every summer I work at a french immersion daycare in Oakland called Les BouTchou. I worked there full time from January-August 2024. I worked with babies ranging from 3months to 2 years old both within the daycare and as a babysitter! Additionally I worked as a substitute preschool teacher for kids 2-4yrs also at Les BouTchou. We learned songs, did many creative projects, and had so much fun while doing it! I’ve also worked as a counselor at a sleepaway camp in Tahoe, CA/NV. The age range was 8-15yrs. We led activities, hikes, and daily traditions for the entire summer, while keeping kids safe and guiding them through their emotional needs while being away from home. I was a lifeguard and swim instructor from 2[removed]. I taught ‘Baby and Me’ swim classes, as well as individual lessons for kids 6months-14yrs. I am fully fluent in French, and am always open to tutoring/homework help on all school subjects! I absolutely adore kids, of all ages and have really valued my time with them!
I'm Marina, and I'm based in Brooklyn. I currently work part-time as the Development and Partnerships Director for a nonprofit providing education and mental health support to women and girls in Afghanistan, and I have about 20-25 hours a week available for a family in need of extra help. I have 19+ years of experience working with children, from newborns through high school, across nannying, daycare, summer camp, tutoring, and classroom teaching. I've cared for children in one-on-one and group settings, for families in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and internationally, including families with high-profile backgrounds. Depending on what your family needs, my time could look like after-school pickup and care, homework support, household logistics, scheduling, organizing, errand running, cooking dinner, pet care, or simply being a consistent and trustworthy presence in your children's lives. For tutoring, I specialize in English, writing, and critical thought for all ages, and cover math, science, and social studies through elementary school. I've taught students from preschool through 12th grade and tutored refugee youth in Brooklyn, often without shared language. My teaching style is rooted in observation and adaptability. I learn how each child thinks, what makes them feel safe, and where they need room to grow. My professional background is in educational and curriculum development. I performed on Broadway through my teens, then shifted into nonprofit work and volunteer teaching. I lived and taught at a school in India for close to two years, worked at a summer camp for refugee youth, and have held roles spanning operations, client experience, and learning and development. All of it has made me someone who pays close attention and builds trust with the people I work with. I emphasize technology-free, creative, and confidence-building play. I think carefully about who each child is and what they specifically need, and I bring that same intentionality to everything from an afternoon activity to a homework session. Of course, I still love a fun movie night! :) I've held certifications in Infant and Pediatric First Aid and CPR and am happy to be re-certified. I have a perfect driving record, I'm conversational in Spanish, and I'm an animal lover through and through. References available upon request. I work best with families that lead with compassion, open-mindedness, and joy. If that sounds like your household, I'd love to connect!
“Our baby liked her immediately. She listened to us and followed instructions well. She did a great job, will hire again.”
Hi, my name is Isabel! I have three years of experience as a museum educator at the Hudson River Maritime Museum, where I taught elementary and middle school field trip students about natural and industrial history. I looked after the children of three families during my high school and college years, and worked as a swim instructor for kids aged 3 to 10 for three summers. I am skilled in guitar and piano and am able to teach both instruments. I love working with kids and the energy that they bring, and currently have open availability.
“Isabel was great with our daughter!”
