I grew up in a large Haitian family so I've been babysitting for as long as I can remember. When my studies brought me to Hamilton College, I continued to babysit for professors and administrators alike. There I pursued an interdisciplinary major in Genetics & Social Justice with a focus on reproductive health. As part of my major, I got the opportunity to study maternal and child health in the U.S., Vietnam, South Africa, and Argentina. Living and learning in such different environments exposed me to children of all ages and backgrounds and taught me that in the absence of a shared spoken language, games are a universal language that can create a genuine connection with children all over the world. I graduated from Columbia University with a master’s in clinical psychology. I currently work full time as a researcher studying teen mental health, but have a flexible schedule. At the moment, I am only looking for occasional babysitting jobs. I have over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages in various settings. I have had numerous part time nanny jobs with infants and children from as young as new borns up to 15 years old. Additionally, I was a camp counselor for 5-8 year olds growing up and also a math and reading tutor at Kumon for over two years so I have experience in helping with school work and tutoring.
